the duty doctor
 Handles emergency situations and complications during the course of treatment.

 Intra Aortic Balloon
 Myocardial infarction
 Congestive heart failure

 CAG
 Permanent & Temporary Pace Maker Insertion
5 IV Cannulation, Blood & Blood products administration
 Assesses for the vein
 Cannulates the patient
 Secures the IV site
 Monitors the IV site for swelling, infection etc…
 Ensures consent is signed before blood transfusion
 Administers and monitors transfusion of blood component
 Packed RBC
 Platelet concentrate
 Fresh Frozen plasma
 Cryoprecipitate

6 Isolation & Infection prevention techniques
 Practices barrier and isolation protocols as applicable.
 Ensures the usage of PPE whenever necessary
 Restricts attenders

 Ensures the practice of universal precautions.
7 Pain management

 Removes all the invasive lines and plugs all the orifices
