SLIDE 4: READ PPT -------------- So since were all familiar with the different variety of research skills which
is the paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting from the previous presentors, this time we are going to
talk about the different styles of citing NEXT SLIDE

SLIDE 5: So these are those three basic approaches READ PPT so we will discuss these three one by one

SLIDE 6: but before that a little review ABOUT READ PPT, SO CITATION IS THE WAY OR THE PROPER WAY
OF GIVING CREDIT SA OWNERS OF THAT CERTAIN WORKS THAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR PAPER OR
RESEARCH------------ so it is a set of guidelines on how to cite sources in your academic writing. So IN
SHORT SHOULD cite whenever you quote, paraphrase, or summarize a source for you to avoid
plagiarism. How you present these citations depends on the style you follow.

SLIDE 7:. So APA INTEXT CITATION usually appears at the end of the sentence in which a quote or
paraphrase appears:::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Parenthetical MEANING Includes0 the author(s) and the date of
publication within parenthesis. Narrative MEANING intertwines the author as part of the sentence with
the date of publication (in parentheses) following

SLIDE 8: In-text citations that give the author’s last name and a page number. A list of Works Cited that
gives full details of every source.
