(Gerry had just gotten home after an interesting class with the most unique, as well as unusual teacher he'd ever
encountered. His brother was on the couch doing his homework.)

Gerry: (He flung himself on the sofa and sighed heavily. His brother sent him a questioning glance as he waited for
Gerry to say something) Well, it looks as if Mum’s found another interesting character to teach me. He was a little
gnome who loved birds and plants, and kept blabbering about friendship.

Gerry’s brother: Oh really? (He grinned) What’s his name?

Gerry: Mr. Kralefsky. Don’t ask me to spell it out.

Gerry’s brother: Yeah, I don’t trust you to. (clicked a few keys on his laptop and then closed it) Anyways, I know a fair
amount of people, but never heard of ‘Kralefsky’ before.

Gerry: (smiled) Me too! Doesn’t exactly roll of your tongue. (mocked as shifted in his position)

(Gerry’s eyes drifted elsewhere, as though lost in thought)

Gerry brother’s: (waited) Well, aren’t you going to tell me what happened?

Gerry: Oh, of course. Sorry! (getting a little excited)

So, my first impression was that he wasn't like anyone from our world. He was like a gnome or a goblin of some sort.

Gerry’s brother: (looking amused) How?

Gerry: Round head, humped back, wide brown eyes and just his general appearance looked as if he was this old man
who would always stare into the distance.

Gerry’s brother: (Didn’t look satisfied with his description) Alright. Then what?

Gerry: Well, he nicely invited me in. Made me feel comfortable. He took me into an old, compact room and just
shouted, out of nowhere, “Friends!”.

Gerry’s brother: (Gave a confused look) Okay…?

Gerry: He continued to talk about how important friendship is and how we will surely be friends. Not a single other one
of my tutors have ever greeted me in such a way. Normally it’s more like ‘Come in. My name is blah blah. Open your
books’.

Gerry’s brother: (laughed) Couldn’t agree more, Ger.

Gerry: Then I noticed something a little weird. He closed his eyes and seemed to have been speaking but no sound
came. As if he were chanting a prayer to himself or trying to remember something perhaps.

Gerry’s brother: (scoffed) That not too weird.

Gerry: Whatever. Next, he started to mention about our common interest in natural history. Now things start to get
interesting for me. He owns this huge collection of birds and he apparently loves them. So, then he goes up to the attic
and when the door opens- Oh my god- It was like all of the beauty in the world was trapped into that one room. (got up
from the sofa and started walking towards the brother, wide eyed) The brightness and chirping sounds of the bird.
There were dozens of birds in there. All of them well taken care of. There were multiple airy cages and seeds were laid
all over the floor.

Gerry’s brother: (matched the level of Gerry’s emotions) Wow! That sounds amazing, Gerry. You have to take me there
once. I think you and Kralefsky could have a good bonding. I highly doubt you studied much at all. Must have spent
more than half of your time staring at those birds.

Gerry: (shrugged) Well, they were practically begging to be started at. I think our future classes will be good, even
though he is a little weird. We have a good understanding and he seems gentle.

Gerry’s brother: Sounds good. Hopefully this tutor last longer than the previous one.

(Gerry’s mother’s voice echoed from a distance to call him and his brother for dinner)
