Dear David,

It was great to hear from you! I’m interested in the project work you
have to do in History, so that I’d like to tell you about my origin and
ancestors. I hope this information will be useful for you!
First of all, I’m Redanian by nationality because I was born in
Redania, but my father, James Service, is Scottish and my mother, Diana
Voorhees, is English. They moved from London to Tretogor when my
grandfather Reginald Service was offered a good job. A few years later, my
two older sisters, Emma and Sarah, were born and then I. My uncle Neil
and aunt Agatha also moved to nearby towns, as did Clara, my mother's
sister. I can say that my whole family lives in Redania at present.
Honestly, I don’t know my relatives on father's side, except for my
uncle, aunt and grandfather I’ve already mentioned. The fact is that he isn’t
used to talking about his family tree even to us. However, I can tell a lot
about my mother's ancestors. For example, my great-grandfather, Mort
Voorhis, commanded the cruiser "Alba" during the Second World War. My
great-grandmother and grandmother had the same name – Lily, but first of
them worked as a doctor on deck and the second was a librarian.
Unfortunately, none of them survived to these days.
Oh, I just remembered something else. My great-grandfather's dad,
Edmund Voorhis, was given the title of baronet "for timely deliveries of
food to British soldiers during the First World War" and was awarded by
George V. I guess this fact should definitely get into your project work!
I’ve told you everything I know about my origin and ancestors. So
you can write about your great-grandparents too. What did they do and
where did they live? Maybe you had important historical figures in your
family? And what have you already managed to write into your project?

Keep in touch,
Tom
