Art & Copy Review

 What is your impression of Advertising prior to watching and after watching the
documentary?
Before I watch it I already expect that it's going to be creative also entertaining
something that will mark in your mind, but I know it will be boring because it’s a 1 hr
documentary but after watching it, it wasn't boring at all. Actually, It inspires me as a
person on how we think out of the box and on what ways we want to tell our story to
every people that will touch their lives. These campaigns will mark every person's life
and will change the view of a person that’s how influential advertising is.

 What are the principles you’ve learned about advertising in this film?
I like the when one of the artists stands up for himself. His name is Lee Clow, and then
he is working on an agency that represents everything that they will do anything for a
client, they only focus on money and that’s what they care all about. He said “don't
allow clients to dictate mediocre then pay about it and inspire the artist to do something
better” it inspires me as an aspiring artist to never driven your work by the money and
be proud of your works because it’s creative and it has a story to tell. He also mentions
that “preaching rebellion of creative people rise up they can do shit unless we make ads
for them, we should be in charge” indeed.

 What are the different careers in advertising and their function? Which of these are you most
interested and why?
COPYWRITER – Someone who proposes concepts making sure that the clients meet is the one
who is shaping their content expectations. “Meeting with clients to understand their message,
brand voice, and target audience”

ART DIRECTOR – “Leading a team of artists, art directors will determine which artistic elements
to use; articulate the vision to their team; review and approve copy, designs, or photography;
develop budgets and timelines, and determine how to best represent the creative director’s
concept.’ The one who develops the artwork or layouts.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR – “A creative director determines the creative vision of a brand or project
and manifests that vision through digital, print and film installations.” They are the one who is
shaping brand standard.

I think I’m more interested in copywriting because I like creating new ideas or concepts, I want to
create something that will mark every person’s life, this will be challenging for me to create more
and think more.

 The film says “Creativity can solve anything”? Do you agree? Why/why not?
I think yes, being creative can tell a lot of stories that may impact everyone in our daily
lives showing a different view of life and changing it by being creative. Creativity starts
at the curiosity that will keep you seeking great ideas, led in a different point of view on
how will you solve the problems in a most impactful way.

 What is the most important lesson you got from this film?

Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and don’t be afraid to show your ideas to the world,
it may be bad or good the outcomes just keep doing what you are doing. Don’t stop
creating just for a person or community. Live for yourself and your goodness, that one
day you'll see all your works are worth it. World is much bigger than what we expect but
if you will focus on the things that you love doing and focus on how you will impact is
much greater than being a salve of money. You do art to tell a story, to inspire someone,
to make a difference, and to freely express yourself in the world. There will always be a
behind story of every success and as of now you are doing the behind the story right
now so make the best out of it.
