B. Defibrillator Use on Automatic Mode
1. Press the “ON” button on right upper corner of equipment
2. Apply quick combo pads to patient bare skin
3. Maintain the door closed
4. Push Analyze and stand clear
5. If “Shock” advised announce a “clear” message
6. Press the “Shock” button to deliver a shock to the patient
C. Defibrillator Use on Manual Mode
1. Press the “ON” button on right upper corner of equipment
2. Apply quick combo pads to patient bare skin
3. Open compartment door. Defibrillator will automatically switch to manual
mode. If door not present press “Energy Select” to switch the defibrillator to
manual mode.
4. Clear patient for healthcare provider to analyze rhythm
5. Once determined that a Shock is needed:
6. Press the up or down arrows on “Energy Select” button to adjust the amount
of Joules as needed
7. Press the charge button
8. Announce a “clear” message
9. Press the “Shock” button to deliver the shock
D. Synchronized Cardioversion
1. Press the “ON” button on right upper corner of equipment
2. Apply ECG cable and apply ECG electrodes
1
3. Apply Quick-Combo therapy electrodes
4. Open door to switch defibrillator to manual mode
5. Select lead with greatest QRS
6. Press “Sync” button and confirm placement of triangle sense marker is on R
wave
7. Press the up or down arrows on “Energy Select” button to adjust the amount
of Joules as needed
8. Press the “Charge” button
9. Announce a “clear” message
10. Press and hold the “Shock” button until energy is delivered
E. Pacing Operation
1. Press the “ON” button on right upper corner of equipment
2. Apply ECG cable and apply ECG electrodes
3. Apply Quick-Combo therapy electrodes
4. Open door to switch defibrillator to manual mode
5. Press “Pacer” button
6. Press “Rate” button to adjust up or down as needed
7. Press “Current” button and increase until electrical capture is achieved
8. Confirm mechanical capture
9. As needed press “Pause” and hold to confirm underlying rhythm

o Employee is competent to perform the above tasks independently and without supervision
