Situational Analysis

FASTLINK HANDLERS BROKERAGE CORP-CEBU

Fastlink Handlers and Brokerage Corp. is a Customs Brokerage and Forwarding

Company founded last April 1997 in Pasig City, Philippines. The company started as a

courier for small parcels until little by little they tried carrying out imports and export

shipments. Due to its customer’s demands and recommendation, the management

decided to open a branch in Cebu. At first, they started out hiring 3 employees. And

later, because of the increase of volume of Cebu Shipments, they acquire more

employees to carry out the releasing of the cargoes and documentation processing of

import and export entries.

CONCLUSION

Although Fastlink is committed to deliver the personalized service to its

client, we cannot achieve the full satisfaction of the client if there will be any delays. This

happened several times due to lack of manpower and the shipment is already reaching

its peak each day. In order to attain the goal for customer satisfaction, we should be

committed to our schedule. To do that, employees should not be only skilled but also we

should add more employees to look into the task to avoid burnout and increase

efficiency. And also, an improved marketing strategy should be implemented and not

justrely on the inquiries acquired from agents of WCA.
