DEFINISION

In the world of education there are terms syllabus, curriculum and lesson plans. These
three things aim to achieve something in the world of education.

1. Syllabus is an arrangement of learning plans for certain subjects.

And also in outline the syllabus can be defined as the main points of content or
learning material, and the syllabus is also an elaboration of teaching and learning
activities to the assessment of student learning outcomes

2. Curriculum is a learning plan that is given to lesson participants in one period at the
level of education to achieve the ultimate goal of learning

The curriculum is also broadly defined as the design of a number of subjects


that must be mastered by students to be able to move up to the next grade.

3. RPP (learning implementation plan)

In general, RPP is a procedure plan and learning organization to achieve a


basic competency that has been defined in the content standards and is also spelled
out by the syllabus. RPP also aims as a guide for a teacher in teaching and learning
activities, every teacher who teaches is required to compile an implementation plan
learning with the aim of achieving an interactive, inspiring, fun, and motivating
learning.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LESSON PLANS, SYLLABUS, AND


CURRICULUM?

a. RPP contains plans in one basic competency in one or several meetings, complete
with steps starting from initial, core and closing activities
b. The syllabus contains planning in one semester and is only a plan that is not as
detailed as the lesson plans
c. The curriculum contains systems for achieving the main vision or educational goals

PURPOSE

The purpose of the syllabus is to assist teachers and education staff in describing in more
seconds competency standards into learning activity plans. Thus, the learning process has
clear directions and objectives so that it can be assessed with appropriate standards.

The purpose of the curriculum is a set of rules that contain content goals and learning
materials as guidelines for the implementation of learning activities. And with the existence
of a curriculum, it aims to achieve higher quality education.

The purpose of RPP is to simplify, streamline and improve the results of the teaching and
learning process. And also have the opportunity for educators to design learning according to
the needs of students, abilities and facilities owned by the school
