THEO 1 YF - INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY

WHY DOES AN ALL-POWERFUL AND LOVING GOD PERMIT EVIL?

Context: Despite possessing the power to eliminate evil, God chose not to, simply

because God allows us to express ourselves and it is our decision to have faith and trust

in Him. God is undoubtedly all-powerful and loving since He has granted us the liberty to

be ourselves, pursue whatever we desire, and be who we are.

Experience: The greatest problem I've ever faced in my life is when my family

experienced a typhoon. There’s no way to recover what has been destroyed in the

community. I have learned that we should alwayss be ready.

Reflection: The best teacher is, in fact, experience. I am aware that God was working

during these trials. In help relieve his people's suffering, he was putting the pieces of the

puzzle together. It is crucial that we believe God since He often works in ways that we

cannot see. My family received lots of blessings from our other relatives that time.

Action: Now that I have been in contact with God’s grace, my faith and confidence in God

have become stronger as well. I thank God in my prayers every day for the blessings and

privilege He has bestowed upon me. I will always be grateful for Him, believe in Him, and

preach about Him.

Evaluation: God has allowed man to encounter evil for a little period of time so that

everyone will see firsthand the difference between living righteously and acting selfishly

and disobediently.
