KYST means coast in Danish. It was designed as

an ode to Portugal’s south-west coast and its great
geomorphological contrasts.
Dynamic lines and contrasting colors represent Costa

Vicentina’s wild cliffs. At the same time Kyst chair
features minimalistic architectural lines and functionality,
both ruled by the Nordic design. This international
symbiosis is characteristic of our motto at Længsel
Design.

The Lyre is historically connected to kings and Viking

warriors from northern areas and boreal climates.

Længsel, or as we would say in Portuguese “Saudade”,

is a very warm and strong word that literally means the
feeling of missing or desiring someone, something or
somewhere.
The unique arms of the Laengsel Chair embrace the

whole piece in the form of a hug, like hugging someone
you miss very much. Its minimalistic crisp lines and
functional form are inspired by the new Nordic design.

“Ro” is a small word with great meaning shared by
all Scandinavian languages. It means tranquility,
peacefulness, quietness or rest. Ro Bench is an
interpretation of these qualities so well integrated in the
Nordic kingdoms.
This bench was designed with minimalistic lines but for

multifunctional purposes. Besides its main function, the
side profiles can also be used to store magazines or
books.

This beautiful lounge chair was carefully thought and
designed to be the core representative of Laengsel. The
Danish word “Kram” means hug and just that little detail
makes it sound even more comfortable.
The unique arms of the chair embrace the whole piece,

therefore its name. The minimalistic creased lines and the
functional form are inspired by the new Nordic design.
The continuous line that defines the feet and the arms
embraces the core of the structure. The contrasts of dark
vs light and strong vs delicate are very present in this
piece, alluding to the Nordic and Portuguese heritage of
this brand.
Kram Lounge Chair is made of birch plywood and uniquely

produced by professional craftsmen.
It comes with two pillows with two different fabric color

pillow. The wood contrasts give it a dynamic twist and
enhance its shapes.

assembled by professional craftsmen. It comes with two
pillows with two different fabric color options.

Orka Desk is a beautifully designed piece, inspired by

the Nordic design with a pinch of boldness. “Orka” can
be described as a mental energy that drives you to

The Swedish word defines the functionality of this table.

Interconnected profiles and contrasting wood colors
distinguish the two sides of this desk. Orka Desk has a
simple and clear structure where the dark profiles define

This dining table was inspired by the New Nordic

Movement that is bound by a set of principles that stress
sustainability, locality and respect for the natural world.
Lagom was created from two pure shapes that met

in perfect balance. The circular top is enriched by the
materiality of the grain that is flowing on the surface. The
base is a rhythmic sequence of vertical solids and voids,
that express a feeling of lightness.
Lagom is a Swedish quality that describes something “in

just the right amount”. This design represents perfectly that
concept balancing pure forms and high color contrasts.
