Design Intent:

The design intent for this domestic space project should be to create functional, com-
fortable, and aesthetically pleasing living spaces that meet the needs and desires of the
target end-users. This might involve considering factors such as the size and layout of the
spaces, the materials and finishes used, the level of natural light, the provision of storage
and other functional amenities, and the overall aesthetic.

The planning and placement is based on Vista focused maping, which is a sartegy from
last assignment.

In terms of aspirations, the goal for this project should be to create a high-quality, attrac-
Site Area : 140,000 sqm tive, and sustainable domestic environment that sets a new standard for urban living.
This could involve incorporating innovative design features and technologies, utilizing
sustainable materials and construction methods, and creating a sense of community
and connection within the development.

Additionally, it is important to consider the surrounding context and how the domestic
spaces fit into the wider urban environment. This might involve considering factors such
as access to public transportation, the provision of green spaces and community ame-
nities, and the integration of the development into the existing street grid and built form.

Overall, the design intent and aspirations for this domestic space project should be guid-
ed by a deep understanding of the end-users and their needs and desires, as well as a
commitment to creating high-quality, sustainable, and livable urban environments.

Views from a residential apartment can have a positive impact

on the mental well-being of its residents. For example, a scenic

invigorating.

Views can also have an impact on the lifestyle of residents. For ex-

Sun path

The orientation of vistas towards the sun is often a deliberate design

choice in architecture. Buildings and spaces are planned to maximize
the amount of natural light and warmth that can be captured from the
sun, which not only improves energy efficiency but also has a positive
impact on human psychology. Sunlight has been found to boost mood
and increase levels of vitamin D, which is important for overall health.

Therefore, by orienting vistas towards the sun, architects and designers can
create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also promote
well-being and comfort for users. Additionally, the orientation of vistas to-
wards the sun can also help to regulate the temperature of the space, re-
ducing the need for mechanical heating and cooling systems.

The 4 major modules in the project have some com-

mon components that are shared throughout. These
components are the basic necessities of a residential
space, such as a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen,
and a living room. The planning and arrangement of
these components are also similar across the mod-
ules, with some variations based on user personalities
and vistas.

For instance, the bedrooms of introverted types are

extended to provide a more secluded and private
space, while the living rooms of extroverted types are
extended to accommodate more socializing and in-
teraction. These variations are not drastic, and they
only serve as an extension to the existing plan.

In this way, the planning and arrangement of the

modules are optimized to provide the residents with
comfortable and practical living spaces that cater to
their individual needs and preferences.

In the end, this project explored the relationship between vistas
and human psychology in architecture, using five case studies
as examples. The case studies showcased how architects have
incorporated vistas into their designs and how these vistas have
positively impacted the users of the buildings. It was found that
vistas can play an important role in enhancing the user experi-
ence by providing a connection to nature and the outside world.

Additionally, the project proposed several patterns for incorpo-

rating vistas into architectural designs, such as persona-based
planning layout, diverse living spaces, optimized viewing decks,
and vista-based orientation. These patterns were developed
based on the analysis of the case studies and were intended to
serve as a guide for architects and designers.

Furthermore, the project explored the relationship between vis-

tas and MBTI personalities, suggesting that the design of spaces
could be tailored to meet the needs and preferences of differ-
ent personality types.

In conclusion, this project demonstrates the importance of incor-

porating vistas into architectural designs and how they can pos-
itively impact the well-being of users. It is hoped that this project
will inspire architects and designers to consider the role of vistas
in their designs and create spaces that are not only functional
but also promote a sense of connection to the environment and
the outside world.
