Beyond the Veil: A Poem on Death's Enigma

Death, thou art a mystery wrapped in night,

A shadow that descends and steals away
The life from bodies, leaving them in plight
Of emptiness and silent, frozen clay.

Yet art thou not a cruel and heartless foe,

But rather a release from earthly woe,
A path to freedom from this mortal show
And reunion with our loved ones long ago.

Thou bringeth peace to those whose pain is great,

And reunites the parted soul with grace.
No longer bound by illness or by fate,
They find eternal rest in Heaven's space.

So death, thou art not an end, but a start,

A journey to the heavens, close to heart.
