THINK ABOUT THIS:

A learning of a child is shallower than the adults. Every person passes this stage,
everyone experienced being a child. We had innocent mind and we got curious to
things, but we can't comprehend all at once, so, they only choose she wanted to learn. I
can associate this meaning to a particular meaning of social studies. Social Studies is
integrated study of social sciences and humanities to promote civic competence. This
study needs to undergo process in order to provide students lesson that can be
applicable in real life. It integrates content in relation to the society, which comparable to
a child’s learning. Just like a child, there are steps in learning things that are part of
growing. A child is trained and develop to be the better version of themselves and to be
ready in any real-life situations. In contrast to that, the scope of social studies is wide.
We learn every day because of its wide connection. Truly different from a child who has
specific one by one discoveries. Also, Social Studies is a systematic study which means
that it is well planned, organized and formulated which is a bit different from a child’s
learning. Children tend to learn and discover things that unexpectedly, maybe there are
instances that it is planned, just like learning in school. Most of the time, we answer
some through unplanned situation, such as experiences.
