Dragons don't exist they said. They are the stuff of legend and people's
imagination. Greg would have agreed with this assessment without a second thought
24 hours ago. But now that there was a dragon staring directly into his eyes, he
questioned everything that he had been told.
My pincher collar is snapped on. Then comes the electric zapper collar.
Finally, my purple at-home collar is taken off and I know I’m going for a walk to
the dog park. I’m so excited to see my friends. I hope Spike or Thunder are there
already. They're the most fun to chase and tumble with. My human is pretty strict
with me. I’m only allowed on the grass and not on the sidewalks. I think she’s
afraid I’m going to jump on the other humans. I don’t understand why everyone else
gets to jump on the benches and run wild on the sidewalks. They don’t listen to
their humans. I know I could ignore mine but if I do she may zap me and it’s just
not worth it. She probably wouldn’t let me back at the dog park if I didn’t listen
to her. I just love the dog park.
The words hadn't flowed from his fingers for the past few weeks. He never
imagined he'd find himself with writer's block, but here he sat with a blank screen
in front of him. That blank screen taunting him day after day had started to play
with his mind. He didn't understand why he couldn't even type a single word, just
one to begin the process and build from there. And yet, he already knew that the
eight hours he was prepared to sit in front of his computer today would end with
the screen remaining blank.
Bryan had made peace with himself and felt comfortable with the choices he
made. This had made all the difference in the world. Being alone no longer bothered
him and this was essential since there was a good chance he might spend the rest of
his life alone in a cell.
She was in a hurry. Not the standard hurry when you're in a rush to get
someplace, but a frantic hurry. The type of hurry where a few seconds could mean
life or death. She raced down the road ignoring speed limits and weaving between
cars. She was only a few minutes away when traffic came to a dead standstill on the
road ahead.
It was that terrifying feeling you have as you tightly hold the covers over you
with the knowledge that there is something hiding under your bed. You want to look,
but you don't at the same time. You're frozen with fear and unable to act. That's
where she found herself and she didn't know what to do next
She wondered if the note had reached him. She scolded herself for not handing
it to him in person. She trusted her friend, but so much could happen. She waited
impatiently for word.
There wasn't a bird in the sky, but that was not what caught her attention. It
was the clouds. The deep green that isn't the color of clouds, but came with these.
She knew what was coming and she hoped she was prepared.
It seemed like it should have been so simple. There was nothing inherently
difficult with getting the project done. It was simple and straightforward enough
that even a child should have been able to complete it on time, but that wasn't the
case. The deadline had arrived and the project remained unfinished.
There are only three ways to make this work. The first is to let me take care
of everything. The second is for you to take care of everything. The third is to
split everything 50 / 50. I think the last option is the most preferable, but I'm
certain it'll also mean the end of our marriage.
Don't be scared. The things out there that are unknown aren't scary in
themselves. They are just unknown at the moment. Take the time to know them before
you list them as scary. Then the world will be a much less scary place for you.
Waiting and watching. It was all she had done for the past weeks. When you’re
locked in a room with nothing but food and drink, that’s about all you can do
anyway. She watched as birds flew past the window bolted shut. She couldn’t reach
it if she wanted too, with that hole in the floor. She thought she could escape
through it but three stories is a bit far down.
The red glint of paint sparkled under the sun. He had dreamed of owning this
car since he was ten, and that dream had become a reality less than a year ago. It
was his baby and he spent hours caring for it, pampering it, and fondling over it.
She knew this all too well, and that's exactly why she had taken a sludge hammer to
it.
At that moment he had a thought that he'd never imagine he'd consider. "I could
just cheat," he thought, "and that would solve the problem." He tried to move on
from the thought but it was persistent. It didn't want to go away and, if he was
honest with himself, he didn't want it to.
"Do Not Enter." The sign made it clear that they didn't want anyone around.
That wasn't going to stop Jack. Jack always lived with the notion that signs were
mere suggestions, not actually absolute rules. That's why the moment Jack looked at
the "Do Not Enter" sign, he walked past it and onto their property.
If you can imagine a furry humanoid seven feet tall, with the face of an
intelligent gorilla and the braincase of a man, you'll have a rough idea of what
they looked like -- except for their teeth. The canines would have fitted better in
the face of a tiger, and showed at the corners of their wide, thin-lipped mouths,
giving them an expression of ferocity.
He picked up the burnt end of the branch and made a mark on the stone. Day 52
if the marks on the stone were accurate. He couldn't be sure. Day and nights had
begun to blend together creating confusion, but he knew it was a long time. Much
too long.
The towels had been hanging from the rod for years. They were stained and worn,
and quite frankly, just plain ugly. Debra didn't want to touch them but she really
didn't have a choice. It was important for her to see what was living within them.
He watched as the young man tried to impress everyone in the room with his
intelligence. There was no doubt that he was smart. The fact that he was more
intelligent than anyone else in the room could have been easily deduced, but nobody
was really paying any attention due to the fact that it was also obvious that the
young man only cared about his intelligence.
Debbie knew she was being selfish and unreasonable. She understood why the
others in the room were angry and frustrated with her and the way she was acting.
In her eyes, it didn't really matter how they felt because she simply didn't care.
The tree missed the days the kids used to come by and play. It still wore the
tire swing the kids had put up in its branches years ago although both the tire and
the rope had seen better days. The tree had watched all the kids in the
neighborhood grow up and leave, and it wondered if there would ever be a time when
another child played and laughed again under its branches. That was the hope that
the tree wished every day as the swing gently swung empty in the wind.
Sometimes it's simply better to ignore the haters. That's the lesson that Tom's
dad had been trying to teach him, but Tom still couldn't let it go. He latched onto
them and their hate and couldn't let it go, but he also realized that this wasn't
healthy. That's when he came up with his devious plan.

If you're looking for random paragraphs, you've come to the right place. When a
random word or a random sentence isn't quite enough, the next logical step is to
find a random paragraph. We created the Random Paragraph Generator with you in
mind. The process is quite simple. Choose the number of random paragraphs you'd
like to see and click the button. Your chosen number of paragraphs will instantly
appear.

While it may not be obvious to everyone, there are a number of reasons creating
random paragraphs can be useful. A few examples of how some people use this
generator are listed in the following paragraphs.
Creative Writing

Generating random paragraphs can be an excellent way for writers to get their
creative flow going at the beginning of the day. The writer has no idea what topic
the random paragraph will be about when it appears. This forces the writer to use
creativity to complete one of three common writing challenges. The writer can use
the paragraph as the first one of a short story and build upon it. A second option
is to use the random paragraph somewhere in a short story they create. The third
option is to have the random paragraph be the ending paragraph in a short story. No
matter which of these challenges is undertaken, the writer is forced to use
creativity to incorporate the paragraph into their writing.
Tackle Writers' Block

A random paragraph can also be an excellent way for a writer to tackle writers'
block. Writing block can often happen due to being stuck with a current project
that the writer is trying to complete. By inserting a completely random paragraph
from which to begin, it can take down some of the issues that may have been causing
the writers' block in the first place.
Beginning Writing Routine

Another productive way to use this tool to begin a daily writing routine. One way
is to generate a random paragraph with the intention to try to rewrite it while
still keeping the original meaning. The purpose here is to just get the writing
started so that when the writer goes onto their day's writing projects, words are
already flowing from their fingers.
Writing Challenge

Another writing challenge can be to take the individual sentences in the random
paragraph and incorporate a single sentence from that into a new paragraph to
create a short story. Unlike the random sentence generator, the sentences from the
random paragraph will have some connection to one another so it will be a bit
different. You also won't know exactly how many sentences will appear in the random
paragraph.
Programmers

It's not only writers who can benefit from this free online tool. If you're a
programmer who's working on a project where blocks of text are needed, this tool
can be a great way to get that. It's a good way to test your programming and that
the tool being created is working well.

Above are a few examples of how the random paragraph generator can be beneficial.
The best way to see if this random paragraph picker will be useful for your
intended purposes is to give it a try. Generate a number of paragraphs to see if
they are beneficial to your current project.

If you do find this paragraph tool useful, please do us a favor and let us know how
you're using it. It's greatly beneficial for us to know the different ways this
tool is being used so we can improve it with updates. This is especially true since
there are times when the generators we create get used in completely unanticipated
ways from when we initially created them. If you have the time, please send us a
quick note on what you'd like to see changed or added to make it better in the
future.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use these random paragraphs for my project?

Yes! All of the random paragraphs in our generator are free to use for your
projects.
Does a computer generate these paragraphs?

No! All of the paragraphs in the generator are written by humans, not computers.
When first building this generator we thought about using computers to generate the
paragraphs, but they weren't very good and many times didn't make any sense at all.
We therefore took the time to create paragraphs specifically for this generator to
make it the best that we could.
Can I contribute random paragraphs?

Yes. We're always interested in improving this generator and one of the best ways
to do that is to add new and interesting paragraphs to the generator. If you'd like
to contribute some random paragraphs, please contact us.
How many words are there in a paragraph?

There are usually about 200 words in a paragraph, but this can vary widely. Most
paragraphs focus on a single idea that's expressed with an introductory sentence,
then followed by two or more supporting sentences about the idea. A short paragraph
may not reach even 50 words while long paragraphs can be over 400 words long, but
generally speaking they tend to be approximately 200 words in length.
