Latest Infosys Interview 24th Aug, 2011: I had Infosys in my college on 24th August 2011. I was very nervous.

Firstly, the HR introduced about the company. Then we were asked to fill the application form. The Written test started. The analytical section was quite easy. Attend the question in the following order, which will be easy not only to answer but also to manage the time. 1. Syllogisms - were very easy and I could get it all correct within a time of 5 min. The only part which you can make sure that all the questions that you attended are right. Try to solve syllogisms by using venn diagrams. Please don t use formulae as it won t work all the time. I could remember only one question, still I couldn t remember the options given. a) All a is b. b) All a is c 2. Data sufficiency totally 5 questions. I was sure that 3 answers were. Try to attend within 5 min. 3. Data Interpretation I was sure that only 2 answers correct. Try to make at least 2-3 within 5 minutes 4. Odd one out- All the five were made correct within a fraction of minute. (Easiest Part for us, may not be the same for all) 5. I was able to attend the data arrangement for the next 15 minutes and then attended all of the questions as there were no negative marks. 6. I left the puzzle without even reading the question. (But attended all the questions as there was no negative marks) Tips for cracking analytical: 1. According to me, always try to attend the syllogism part of the analytical section as it could be the easiest and you can make sure that all the questions are right. Practice more problems on syllogism from R.S.Agarwal.Make sure that at least 80% is right. Most probably they will give 2 statements followed by 3 conclusions. There will be 4 answer choices. 2. Practice more on Data Sufficiency. One will be definitely from sitting arrangement question. Here in this section too, make sure that at least 80% is right. Take no more than 10 min for both syllogism and data sufficiency. 3. Attend Data interpretation then. It will be based on Bar/pie chart or simply table. To clear this section you must be good at ratios, % increase, % decrease and average computations. Attend those questions which are very simple attend. Some questions will beat your time. Please don t attend those questions. All you need to get is 3 out of 5. Take no more than 5 min. 4. Then take 10 minutes to attend the data arrangement type problems. Practice those questions very well because practice can make you solve this question at a much faster phase. You can make sure that all the questions are right if you are right in arrangement. 5. If you have attended as I mentioned, you can make sure that you have crossed the minimum eligibility level. Then attend the Odd one out(Based on four pictorial representations) or anything you like. THAT S IT!!!

Verbal Section It was little bit tougher when compared to analytical. You have to be strong in error corrections, as it contributed to the most of the question paper. I found the following link to be very useful in case of Sentence correction. http://www.gmat-pacer.com/guidec4.html Work on sentence from RS Agarwal book for verbal, consists of ample amount of problems in sentence correction. All you get through is strong usage in prepositions. Critical Reasoning, some were easy but others weren t. RC one was very very easy and one exact opposite. Thank god I cleared them and was called for the interview.
