Introduction

Peace is an essential element for the survival and prosperity of


humanity. Without peace, human beings would find themselves
trapped in a never-ending cycle of conflict and destruction. Different
individuals view peace from various perspectives. This paper aims to
explore five individuals' perspectives on peace and how they believe
peace can be achieved.

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian nationalist and political leader who


led India to independence from British rule. He viewed peace as the
absence of violence, oppression, and colonialism. According to him,
peace can only be achieved when individuals fight for their rights
through non-violent means, such as civil disobedience and peaceful
protests. Gandhi believed in the power of satyagraha, which means
"truth force." He advocated for peaceful resistance and non-
cooperation as the means to achieve freedom and justice. Gandhi once
said, "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind." Gandhi
advocated for non-violence, truth, and justice as the key drivers for
achieving peace.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the perspectives of these five individuals highlight the
various dimensions of peace. Mother Teresa emphasized the
importance of love and compassion as the key drivers for achieving
