This standard has been prepared by ECISS/TC 10 ‘Structural steel – Grades and qualities’ (Secretariat: The
Netherlands).
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Eisen und Stahl (Steel
and Iron Standards Committee), Technical Committee Stähle für den Stahlbau.

Amendments
This standard differs from the August 1993 edition in that it has been editorially revised and the scope has
been extended to include products up to 400 mm in thickness and having a proof strength up to 960 MPa.
