The Zamboanga Hermosa Festival, also known as Fiesta Pilar, is an annual festival held in Zamboanga

City, Philippines. The festival is celebrated in honor of the Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady of the
Pillar), the patron saint of the city.

The festival is celebrated for nine days, culminating on October 12, which is the feast day of the Nuestra
Señora del Pilar. The festival features a variety of cultural and religious activities, including street dances,
parades, pageants, and religious processions.

One of the highlights of the festival is the grand parade, which showcases the diverse cultural heritage
of Zamboanga City. Participants wear colorful costumes and perform traditional dances and music. The
parade is accompanied by marching bands, drum and lyre corps, and other musical groups.

Another highlight of the festival is the Regatta de Zamboanga, a traditional boat race held in the waters
of the Paseo del Mar. The race features colorful vintas, or traditional sailing boats, decorated with
colorful flags and banners.

During the festival, various competitions and contests are also held, such as beauty pageants, dance
competitions, and cooking contests. Food and souvenir vendors set up booths along the streets and
offer a variety of local delicacies and crafts.

The Zamboanga Hermosa Festival is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Zamboanga City and a
testament to the devotion of the people to their patron saint, Nuestra Señora del Pilar.
