France on human rights:

France is a supporter of the Human Rights Council, which is responsible for promoting
and protecting human rights. which is why France is standing as a candidate for
membership of the Human Rights Council for the 2014-2016 period.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 have been approved by France
(2000). France is a co-sponsor of the three country-specific resolutions about human
rights in Iran, North Korea and Myanmar adopted annually by the General Assembly of
the United Nations, and also co-sponsored a resolution on the situation of human rights in
Syria, adopted for the first time in 2011.

France on Kashmir issue:

The Kashmir dispute is a bilateral one between Pakistan and India, we urged them to
settle their disagreements through political dialogue and avoid taking any actions that
could inflame tensions. The interests and rights of the civilian population in the areas on
both sides of the Line of Control will continue to be carefully considered by France.

France on Palestine:
The only option that can address the genuine aspirations for security, independence,
respect, and dignity of both Israelis and Palestinians is the two-State solution. If the
Quartet (the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and France) can't get the parties
to agree on a deal, adding 19 more countries (including Saudi Arabia, Norway, China,
and Ireland) and the Arab League to the peace talks might make it easier.

France on Islamic limitations:

The law was legitimate, necessary, and respected religious freedom. The ban applies to
hiding one's face, not to any type of religious clothing that leaves the face uncovered. The
French constitutional court and the European Court of Human Rights have both ruled that
the full-face veil ban does not violate religious freedom.

France on Turkey-Syria:

France wants to mediate between Turkey and Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic

Forces in northern Syria. A dialogue can be established between the SDF and Turkey
with help from France and the international community. We strongly incite Turkey to not
advance on the city of Manbij, which is currently under the control of Kurdish forces.
