It reminded me of the time of my

childhood, when first time in my life I
had seen the Rs. 1 coin with Dr.
Ambedkar’s photo on it. I was filled
with the joy and kept that coin in the
closet, never to lose it. I know this is
not only with me but millions other
Dalits also want to see Dr. Ambedkar
on Indian currency and experience
same joy.
Demands
I request everyone in capacity to
make our voice reach higher
authorities that we love Dr.
Ambedkar more than any other
icon in India so we want Dr
Ambedkar’s picture on Indian
currency.
The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will
launch a massive campaign 'Ghar
Ghar Jodo' across the country to
gain support from Dalits and
Scheduled Castes from April 14
(Ambedkar Jayanti) to May 5 (Budh
Jayanti).
Ghar Ghar Jodo Campaign intends
to target 17 per cent of voters (Dalit
community) across the country.
Naidu Prakash Ji may address the
Dalit community during the
programme in Hyderabad.
BJP popular leader urges Dalits and
Muslims to vote for the NDA, citing
the BRS's "downfall" under
Telangana CM KCR.
Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the
architect of India's Constitution,
envisioned an all-inclusive society in
India, which is now becoming a
reality under the Modi
government".
Demands Nobel Peace Prize for
Dalit icon Babasaheb Ambedkar.

uplift the poor and downtrodden.
KCR Failed

KCR failed to fulfil his promises to

make Dalit as Chief Minister of
Telangana.
KCR has failed to allot three-acre
land to each landless Dalit
households.
KCR has failed to stand on his
promise "Dalit Bandhu" Rs 10 lakh
through direct bank transfer to
every Scheduled Caste family in the
state.
KCR has failed to provide KG to PG
free education.
KCR has failed to allot Double
bedroom homes.
KCR has failed to disburse 100 croes
every year as loans to SC and ST's.
KCR has failed to offer 35 Lacks jobs
to Dalits.
KCR has failed to provide Girijana
Bandhu scheme to the Scheduled
Tribes community and also
enhanced reservation in
government jobs.
CM KCR has failed to give 3000
rupees per month Unemployement
fund to Jobless Youth.
KCR has failed to provide 10%
reservation in education and
government jobs for Tribals.
About
Ambedkar
Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14
April 1891 in Madhya Pradesh. He
was the fourteenth child of his
parents.
Ambedkar's father Ramji was a
Subedar in the Indian Army and
posted at Mhow cantonment, MP.
Ambedkar had to face severe
discriminations from every corner
of the society as his parents hailed
from the Hindu Mahar caste. Mahar
cast was viewed as "untouchable"
by the upper class.
The discrimination and humiliation
haunted Ambedkar even at the
Army school, run by British
government. Discrimination
followed wherever he went.
In 1908, Ambedkar went to study at
the Elphinstone College, Mumbai.
Ambedkar obtained a scholarship
of twenty five rupees a month from
the Gayakwad ruler of Baroda,
Sayaji Rao III.
He graduated in Political Science
and Economics from the Bombay
University in 1912. Ambedkar went
to USA for higher studies.
Fight For
Justice

After returning to India, Bhimrao

Ambedkar observed that cast
discrimination was almost
fragmenting the Nation so he
decided to fight against it.
Ambedkar favoured the concept of
providing reservations for Dalits and
other religious communities.
Ambedkar, in wake of reaching to
the people and making them
understand the drawbacks of the
prevailing social evils, launched a
newspaper called "Mooknayaka"
(leader of the silent).
Recognition
Ambedkar strongly believed that
education should be provided to all
sections of the society.
B. R. Ambedkar Open University
was established by an act of Andhra
Pradesh State legislature on 26th
August 1982.
