107K © all - o & d 8 Random Summer reflections *Cicadas: | hate the sound of cicadas. | feel like it is ominous, and it gives me a strong feeling of loom and emptiness. You know how cicadas would start making their signature sInoise during the afternoon period where no one is outside. They remind me of the time | was a kid and wasn't allowed to go outside during that time. As a kid, | used to feel it's because a dangerous time , and what was the telltale of that period? The freaking cicadas were so loud. When | hear them now, | can't help but feel like something bad is going to happen. I'd even go as far as to say it's an apocalyptic sound. At the end I'd say it's one of the unpleasant sounds of summer. *All the ladybugs have left us now.
