Standard Operating Procedure for GEOTV HD Content

Step 1: Sequence Settings

This tutorial demonstrates very basic how to set up a sequence in two simple steps
that allows for the export of stereo audio channels, how to prepare the project for
export , how to not only use the correct export settings but also making video signal
levels broadcast safe

These steps need to be completed before importing any media.

In Adobe Premiere, it is essential to set up your sequence as follows. Once you have
created your sequence, you will not be able to change some essential settings, thus
you might not be able to export your video according to GeoTV MCR Technical
Specifications.
Editing Mode: Sony XDCAM HD422 1080 PAL
Timebase: 25.00 frames/second

Video

Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)

Fields: Upper Field First

Display Format: 25 fps Timecode


Audio

Sample Rate: 48000 Hz

Display Format: Audio Samples

Video Previews

Maximum Bit Depth

Maximum Render Quality

Step2: Export

Now click File / Export / Media…


Export Settings

Format: QuickTime

On the Video tab, use the following settings:

Video Codec: XDCAM HD422 1080i50 (50Mb/s)

Basic Video Settings

Width & Height: 1920×1080

Frame Rate: 25

Field Order: Upper First

Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)

Render at Maximum Depth

Use Maximum Render Quality

Click Export
