What it is The Callao Carnival, also
celebrated. known as Carnival of Callao, is
one of the most famous and
important celebrations in
Venezuela. In fact, due to its
great cultural contribution, in
2016 it was recognized as
Immaterial Cultural Heritage of
Humanity by Unesco. One of
the characteristics of the
carnivals is the inclusion and
cultural development of the
region, the streets become a
spectacle of colors. The
carnivals of Callao are related
to the emancipation
celebrations “Cannes Brulées”
in the French-speaking Antilles
Where and It is celebrated in the Bolivar
when it is State, population of Callao in
celebrated. Venezuela, between the

 What people People wear very colorful and
wear. traditional clothes from

make big masks.

means of expression. The
calypso accompanies and gives
rhythm to the parades that run
through the streets of the town.
