BIG IDEAS

1. Works of the Holy Spirit: A primary task of the Holy Spirit is to reveal, testify, and
defend the truth as it is in Jesus. In connection with His primary task, the Spirit performs
a two-fold office, first toward the world (John 16:8), and secondly toward believers, this
works of the Holy Spirit have been subdivided into two, depending on the people it
relays; It is the work of the Holy Spirit to convince the world, through the agency of
preaching and miracles, Of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. The second law
for us to enter into the kingdom of God is to grace ourselves as little children-who are
lowly in heart, helpless this will help us to discern the spiritual truth of the kingdom of
God.
2. Purifying work of the Holy Spirit: the Wesleyan uses the term ‘purify’ to signify the
sanctifying ministry of the Holy Spirit as revel by His grace. Wesley describes that
"entire sanctification, or Christian perfection, is neither more nor less than pure love; love
expelling sin, and governing both the heart and of a child of God. The Refiner's fire
purges out all that is contrary to love.
