My reply on Youtube to Tenkar’s scolding Red Room for not toeing the line of “hostile marketing.
Me, on Feb 17 2023:
This concept of "hostile marketing," and saying that if they take down your work you can't tell anyone, is Orwellian. Granted I don't sell things on Drivethru, and I avoid social media, but I've never heard of such a thing and the very idea is nonsensical. Half (at least) of what you read online is people relating why they are ticked off about what some company did. So, regardless of how coarse some guy may be, if Drivethru wants to muzzle someone who's had a bad experience with them, then I guess I won't be a customer any more. Good thing I've already got all of my current purchases downloaded. Oh yeah, and I've become pretty disenchanted with Roll20 too, so no great loss. Really, next we'll hear Hasbro saying that they no longer serve customers who aren't "monetizing" enough product. Pshaw. This stuff writes itself.
