This study aimed to identify the types of fishing gear and evaluate the environmental friendliness of fishing gear used by fishermen in Aluh-Aluh District, Banjar Regency. The analysis of environmental friendliness was based on criteria from the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and scored on a scale of 1 to 4. The results showed that longlines and gillnets, which both scored above 5.32, were the most environmentally friendly gears. Filter nets were considered less environmentally friendly with a score between 2.66 and 5.32, while mini trawls scored below 2.66 and were the least environmentally friendly.

Fishing operations run smoothly if a fishery business
has several criteria for environmentally friendly fishing
technology in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). This study aims to identify the type of fishing gear and the level of friendliness of the fishing gear used by fishermen in Aluh-Aluh District, Banjar Regency. The research was carried out in May-June 2021 in Aluh-Aluh District, Banjar Regency. The analysis of the level of environmental friendliness was carried out according to the criteria from the CCRF using a score of 1 – 4. The types of fishing salat found in the research location were Lampara (Mini Trawl), Rawai (Longline), Togo (Filter Net), and Gillnet (Gillnet). ). The results of the calculation of the standardization of the value function show that the fishing gear that has a score of > 5.32 is the longline of 6.712 and the gillnet of 6.775 so it can be said that the fishing gear is environmentally friendly. While the Togo fishing gear (Filter Net) is included in the category of fishing gear that is less environmentally friendly because it gets a score of 2.66 < (X) < 5.32, which is 3.9. The fishing gear that is included in the environmentally unfriendly category is Lampara (Mini Trawl) with a score of < 2.66, which is 0.014.
