9. I would do more research and consult with a doctor on hypoallergenic dogs and figure out how bad
my allergies are before deciding whether I wanted to own this type of dog or not.

If my allergies aren’t that bad, and my consultation with a doctor proves that hypoallergenic dogs won’t
cause me harm then I would definitely get one of them. Of course, there are other factors in my life I
need to consider. Just because I would want to get one of them after seeing they’re safe does not mean
I will be able to.

My parents, for one thing, might not allow me to get a hypoallergenic dog. They would likely argue it is
not safe even if a doctor said it is.

Another factor to consider is Bangladesh’s dog variety. I don’t think it’ll be easy to find any of the breeds
mentioned in the text and I highly doubt that the dog industry that “sprouted up to promote, breed, and
cross breed dogs that are not likely to cause their owners problems” exists in Bangladesh.

Of course, then there are your typical questions to consider:

- How big will the dog be?

- Will I be able to train it?

- Do I have enough time to spend time and play with it regularly?

- Am I fit to take care of a dog and provide all its necessities?

But besides all that – yes. If I did have allergies and was able to get a hypoallergenic dog, I would totally
get one because I love dogs.
