Tourism Industry in Goa

As you'll all know that Goa is the smallest state in India and is also
one of the most favourable destination among the Indian and foreign
tourists due to its beautiful beaches, churches, temples, forts, etc.

Tourism is the backbone of the Goan economy with 40% of the


population directly or indirectly dependant on it. The tourism sector
has also shown a strong growth with total tourists arrivals increasing
from 2.3 million in 2005 to 7.8 million in 2017, an annual growth of
nearly 11%. Foreign tourists, mostly from Europe arrive in Goa
during the winter season, whereas during summers and and monsons
see many Indian tourists. Goa handled almost 2.29% of all foreign
tourists arrivals in the country in 2011. Our small state Goa is situated
in the west coast of India, between the borders of Maharashtra and
Karnataka, and is better known to the world as a former Portuguese
enclave on Indian soil. This, tourism forms the backbone of Goa's
economy

Major tourists destinations include Bom Jesus Basilica, Fort Aguada,


Palolem beach, etc. The churches and convents of Goa have been
declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. The 5 main industries of
the tourism sector in Goa are accomodations, food and beverages
services, recreation and entertainment, transportation and travel
services.

RECIPE: BREAD PIZZA RECIPE


INGREDIENTS (US CUP = 240ML)
 4 Slices of Bread
 1 teaspoon of oil for greasing the pan
Toppings
 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce
 ½ to ¾ cup cheese grated (mozzarella)
 ½ teaspoon of Italian Herbs or Oregano
 ½ teaspoon of red chili flakes
 1 medium onion cubed and separated
 ½ cup bell pepper (capsicum) cubed
 1 small tomato deseeded and cubed
 10 olives as desired
INSTRUCTIONS
Preparations
 Cube the onions and separate the layers
 Deseed the tomatoes and the bell pepper. Cube them well.
 Grate the cheese and keep it ready.
How to make Bread Pizza on the stovetop
 Grease a pan with 1tsp of oil. Toast the bread nicely on one side.
Switch off the heat.
 Remove the bread to a board or a tray, so the crisp side is on
top. This step is optional but helps keep the bread firm.
 Smear the pizza sauce thinly as desired.
 Layer bell peppers, onions, tomatoes. Next grate and layer
cheese and then the herbs and chili flakes. If you have olives
place them as well.
 Place the bread on the pan. Cover the pan and begin to toast on a
low to medium heat.
 Toast until the cheese melts. Keep checking to avoid burning the
bread
