Letter of Recommendation for Teaching

London Berkhiser

London Berkhiser asked me for a letter of recommendation about her qualifications as a

Health and Physical Education teacher, and I’m happy for the chance to write one. London has
been an exceptional student in our program both academically and professionally. She
demonstrates a strong commitment to her future profession, both inside and outside the
classroom, and has already shown a natural ability to thrive in a teaching role.

In the classroom London maintains a high academic standard, performing well on written
examinations and participating enthusiastically during discussions. Her quality of work falls
easily within the top 10% of students that I’ve taught. She brought the same work ethic to
movement sessions in the gym, always staying focused on the activity and able to make the
connection between classroom and practical applications. London maintained a respectful and
collegial relationship with other students in her classes and went out of her way to help those
who had difficulties with schoolwork.

I have observed London teaching in several different settings, and it’s here that she really
excels. I have personally watched her teach a class of peers, work one-on-one with mentally and
physically challenged students in Adapted P.E., and thrive in a gymnasium full of public-school
students during numerous hours in local elementary and secondary schools. In all of these
settings London showed a wonderful understanding of classroom management, content
presentation, and the ability to teach diverse learners.

If you would like any additional information or have further questions, please feel free to
contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Peter St Pierre

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to recommend London Berkhiser for this Paulding County School District position. I
have had the opportunity to work with London during my Pace varsity softball season in the Fall
of 2021 in a volunteer assistant role, in addition to her being a student in one of my courses at
Kennesaw State University. I was consistently impressed with her diligence, efficiency, and
ability to offer suggestions and feedback to players and coaches alike, as well as her consistent
participation in class.

London has demonstrated her ability to plan, manage, direct, and instruct within a team
setting. I believe that London would be an excellent addition to your program. I was amazed
with her organizational skills and grace under pressure when learning a new task. She is also a
quick learner who picks up new skills with great speed.

I strongly recommend London for the position in your Paulding County School. She is organized,
detail-oriented, effective, and committed to getting the job done. She played competitive
softball growing up and knows what it is to compete both mentally and physically at a high
level. She would make an excellent addition to your program.

Please feel free to contact me at spatte33@kennesaw.edu if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
