Today we will discuss dua e Barhati. Is it a dua that was bestowed to Hazrat Sulaiman AS or
whether it is the spirituality associated with Asma e Husna? What have the buzurgan stated? It
is a misconception and MaazAllah wrong to say that it is some form of magic that dominates
shiateen and this is absolutely wrong. Due to ignorance and lack of knowledge some aamileen
think of it as magic.

What is Dua e Barhati Shareef?

Dua e Barhati are those hidden Names of Allah SWT that bestowed Hazrat Sulaiman AS such
an incredibly powerful figure. When was Dua e Barhati descended on Hazrat Sulaiman AS? Our
Murshid Mian Huzoor says that the first Ism made known to Hazrat Sulaiman AS was Ya
Hannan and this was the Ism that Hazrat Sulaiman read in abundance and gave the dawat for it
also; the spirituality of Ya Hannan was unveiled to him. Hazrat Sulaiman AS was bestowed by
two gifts when he recited Ya Hannan:

-Dua e Barhati Shareef which buzurgan say are the batini essence of the Ism Ya Hannan.
-The naqsh of 15.

Relation between Barhati Shareef and Naqsh of 15:

Both, Barhati Shareef and the naqsh of 15 are very closely related. If a person gives the zakat
of Barhati Shareef, he/she should give the zakat for the naqsh of 15, those who give the zakat
for the naqsh of 15 should read Barhati Shareef also. The permission for Barhati Shareef is not
given very easily because out of the 28 Asma e Mubarak, most are Jalali in nature. Which are
the Asma and what are their meanings?

What to do before zakat of Barhati Shareef?

I have seen that online people are taking the permission for the zakat of Barhati Shareef but
they should also realize that what is it that they should do before they give the zakat? Buzurgan
have advised that there is a station/ mazil that we need to pass through before we give the
zakat. This manzil is reading the zakat of Ya Hannan Ya Mannan to be completed 125000
times before we give the zakat for Barhati Shareef. When this is done, we then try to learn
Barhati Shareef by heart. Buzurgan say that trying to recite it for learning it by heart is also
equivalent to inviting moaqqilan, jinnat and shiateen.

Why is the permission not given easily?

-The Asma are mostly Jalali in nature as stated above

-The second issue could be a high probability of rujjat. The moaqqilan and jinnat associated with
Barhati Shareef do not have any mercy. The Muslim jinnat themselves read dua e Barhati
Shareef in abundance; infact the king of jinnat, holds his power through the Asma e mubarak of
Barhati Shareef.

Mian Huzoor's experience:

Mian Huzoor once narrated that at one early point in this journey he was not familiar with
Barhati Shareef but he was doing another amal during which he experienced a trance; in that
state he remembered a few words (two or three Asma) from the dua being recited by someone
else. When he gained consciousness he asked his Taya Pir, Pir Irfan Ali Shah Sahab about the
words he had heard in his mushahida.

Pir Irfan Ali Shah confirmed to Mian Huzoor that this was Dua e Barhati that he was reciting
from. Pir Irfan Ali Shah ,despite his spiritual stature (he used to recite Surah Ikhlaas 14000
times daily and he was from the family of Hazrat Ganj Muradabadi and he also had
permission/khilafat of Barhati Shareed from his father Pir Muzaffar Ali Shah Sahab) responded
that even he could not give Mian Huzoor the permission to read Barhati Shareef. When his
Murshid came into town, he asked Pir Irfan Ali Shah to write Barhati Shareef for Mian Huzoor
and to give permission. Therefore, it is not a casual matter to recite this dua.

The person who gives the dawat for Ya Hannano Ya Mannano and gives zakat for it, then gives
the zakat for the dua, he prepares himselfelf for excellence and no jinnat or shiateen can affect
the aamil or anyone associated with him. Buzurgan say that Barhati Shareef is a blazing fire and
one needs to be very careful. Giving permission carelessly can harm the giver of permissions
too. Mian Huzoor has extensive practice of Barhati Shareef.

Hurf e Tahaji:

Alif, Baa, Jeem, Daal, Haa,Wao, Zey, Hay and Twoen

These are dominant over all amaal. Buzurgan also say that these adaad from 1 to 9 were
inscribed on the ring of Hazrat Sulaiman AS.

Ways of reading Dua e Barhati:

Dua e Barhati is read in different ways. In some silasil, only the Asma are read. Some read the
Asma e Husna, like the Shattaria Madariya, while others recite it with the Hurf e Tahaji like the
khandaan Sohrawardy. In the Qadariya silsila, we read it with the azamiyat. I will not detail the
method because it can not be shared on social media. Caution has to be exercised so you can
get in touch with me and I would like to supervise incase I feel the reader has the strength and
the ability. I read it inside the Ka'aba Sharef in 2017 so I am well aware of the blessings and the
challenges that are attached with it.

Zakat:

First we give the zakat of Ya Hannano Ya Mannan 125000 over 40 days, 109 days or 141 days.
Some people calculate the numerical value of Sulaiman and give this zakat in 191 days and
some read it in 11 days because 1 plus 9 plus 1 is equal to 11.

Buzurgan e Deen say that to become the sahib e dawaat of these Asma takes twenty eight
years. Before you give the zakat for Barhati Shareef, please give the zakat for Ya Hannano Ya
Mannan and also the nawqsh of 15 ( 45 naqoosh are written for 45 days. Some people write 9
naqsh daily for 15 days but the prior is the best way).

There are 9 boxes (1 plus 2 plus 3 plus 4 plus 5 plus 6 plus 7 plus 8 plus 9 which is equal to 45
which is also the number for Hazrat Adam AS) and if we add horizontally or vertically it adds up
to 15 which is also the number associated with Amma Hawa. This naqsh helps women and men
both strongly. The zakat for Barhati with the naqsh of 15 should only be done by special
individuals; it is not an exercise for regular people. You can write it down in Bayaaz e Shazlia.

Those who have given the zakat of Barhati Shareef should read it nine times daily. There should
be no gaps in reading. If you can not read it nine times, then at least read it once daily. Our
biggest permission is from the Shattaria Madariya khandaan through Irfan Ali Shah Sahab.

The base of our lashkar is naqsh of 15, Faleeta e Sulaimani and Surah Quraysh. Hold tight to
these.
