Oh great, compassionate Buddha! In order to receive respectfully the joyous occasion


We are here to celebrate with sincerity and respect Of your birth to the world,
Your birth into this world. In some places, people decorate with lanterns and
When all the flowers bloomed during the warmth of colored hangings,
spring, Full of joyful atmosphere;
Exotic flowers were contending in beauty and In some places, people hold parades,
fascination in the Lumbini garden; And the sounds of gongs and drums shake the sky;
Everyone in Kapilavatthu was rejoicing, Monasteries hold the ceremony of bathing
Gentle breezes spread the fragrance, The image of the Buddha, as
All birds sang in unison; Devotees and their families celebrate your birthday.
From that moment on, This is how your followers commemorate
There was promise in the human world, Your gracious kindness!
From that moment on, This is how your followers remember
There was Dharma in the human world. Your blessing and protection with gratitude!

With one hand pointing to the sky Oh great, compassionate Buddha!


And the other pointing to the earth, Please sympathize with the imperfections of our
You declared the you were virtues and merits;
The uniquely honored one in the world. We can only chant your great, sacred name
As you took seven steps, mindfully,
Clusters of lotus flowers appeared, As though remembering our own kind mother.
And you used the pure and clean Dharma water
To wash away the stains of the earth. Oh great, compassionate Buddha!
Immediately, We kneel before you,
Muddy mountain streams became crystal clear, We pass our hands over your golden body,
Burned-out torches were rekindled. We offer our sincere devotion, and
The heavens played wonderful music, We pray and hope that your virtue brightens the
The earth displayed rare, auspicious signs; world.
All these portents welcomed your arrival to this May the Dharma lasts for ever.

And clearly see and understand the suffering of all
Oh great, compassionate Buddha! beings;
Because of your birth in this world, Please allow our speech to correspond to yours,
Your forty-nine years of teaching the Dharma And delight in saying wonderful and kind words;
Will hold sway for far more than three great kalpas. Please allow our actions to correspond to yours,
The more-than-three-hundred gatherings in which By being willing to help our friends;
you taught the sutras Please allow our thoughts to correspond to yours,
Will benefit more-than-countless sentient beings! And concentrate on benefiting all beings.

Oh great, compassionate Buddha! Oh great, compassionate Buddha!


It was you who broke the castle system, We offer our entire lives to expound and propagate
You who preached the doctrine of dependent the Truths;
origination and the equality of all beings, We offer our entire lives to liberate all sentient
You who opened all beings' minds to to Buddha's beings.

You who awakened all sentient beings from Oh great, compassionate Buddha,
ignorance. Please accept our sincere prayer!
