Ive just started looking at things concerning Challenge Conference 2012 for S.W.A.T. It is going to be in New Orleans this year at the beginning of Julycan you say HOT! Nevertheless, it got me thinkingdoes everything have to be a challenge? What is a challenge anyway? Webster defines challenge as -- a demand for identification; a calling into question; a demanding of proof, explanation; a call or dare to take part in a duel [I like this one]; anything, as a demanding task, that calls for special effort or dedication; an objection; etc. Wow, that sounds like a lot of things in life doesnt it. It seems even more so in our walk with the Lord. Take for example the first definition a demand for identification. Who do you identify with? What do you identify with? What is your identity wrapped up in? Take on the second definition and another whole list of questions and situations come into mind concerning our faith in Jesus. Back to my original questiondoes everything in life have to be a challenge? I think if we are honest the answer would be yes. From our relationships to our work to our faitheverything about us is, by definition, a challenge to us or for us. Feeling depressed? Dont be. The good news is that nothing surprises Godnothing challenges God. And remember, He is on our side. Trust in Him to help you in life, in challenges. Let him be the source of your identity, your strength, your defender, your answer to any challenge! In Christ, Pastor Matt
