HOW DO I INSTALL PRESETS ON

LIGHTROOM MOBILE ?

Installing a preset in Lightroom is quite simple, it doesn't

change much in the Mobile version, there will be no

.XMP files for the presets but you will have to use the

.DNG files to install the presets on your smartphone.

.DNG files are a RAW file format, therefore it preserves

all the most important information of an image and

allows you to modify and process it by adjusting all the

settings in a professional and precise way.

Let's see how to do it!

DOWNLOAD .DNG FILES TO YOUR PHONE

When you buy them you get either the single files or a

zipped file. Open the email directly from the phone and

save the preset files. If you already have them on your

quiet computer, no problem, just transfer them.

You can use either a simple Wetrasfer or Dropbox,

Airdrop if you are in the Apple world, but also a simple

usb cable to pass files.

Once you have put the file on your smartphone,

remember the path. Start unzipping it with a simple

application like iZip that you find on any store for free.
IMPORT .DNG FILES INTO LIGHTROOM MOBILE

Ok, now you need to import your files!

Open the application and create a new album to host only the

downloaded .DNG files. How to do? Tap the + button to the

right of the title of the "Album" section and tap this item.

After creating the Lightroom Mobile preset album, tap the

three dots to the right of the album name. Select “Add Photos”

and select where the photos are saved.

If you have used iZip, you will select “From file“. If you

brought the files individually, however, you will select "From

Camera Roll" or "Gallery"

Select the .DNG photo files to add and tap "Add".

SAVE AS DEFAULT

You have the .DNG files loaded into the Lightroom app now,

but you need to save them! Open one of the photos from your

.DNG folder, always touch the 3 dots at the top right and

select the "create pre-setting" option

A list of options will appear that allow you to customize the

settings as well as assign a unique name to the preset.

If you also have many presets, I highly recommend having a

different source folder for each.

After you're done customizing, tap the check mark to save the

new Lightroom presets. You will need to repeat this process

for each DNG file in the folder! Here's how to export mobile

lightroom presets easily!

USE LIGHTROOM MOBILE PRESETS

Now that you have the presets saved in the Lightroom app,

how can you use them next time?

Very simple, open the photo you want to edit, at the bottom

there are the sections with the adjustment settings, you have to

scroll right to the end and you will find "presets"

Here are all the lightroom presets saved on your smartphone.
