As u know there are 2 types of relative clauses :

Defining and nondefining.

Example: 1. the house that was demolished a few weeks ago really made me scared ( ask audience if
they can omit any part )

( -> omit the underlined part )

2. this book, which I found in the shelf, was from haruki murakami

 Rule1 : cant omit in non defining clauses

- Rule 2 goes like this when a relative clause act as a subject of the clause you can’t omit ( which
is non defining ) -> we need to analyse …

You: subject; which: object -> non defining

 I ran into a boy who look exactly like shawn mendes

who : subject -> defining -> can not omit
