yang cocok yang ada dibawah teks ini.

Let’s look at now, why do people fall into backbiting? What are the causes of backbiting? The first
cause is a weakness of faith and a lack of piety, so he doesn't think about what he says; he doesn't
fear Allah with regards to his speech. So it’s a lack of faith, a lack of taqwa, being conscious of
Allah Subhanahu Wa ta’ala, he just goes on and he lets his tongue run away with itself. The
second thing is to vent his anger against this person. So you’ve become angry with a person, and
then you begin to backbiting, you begin to attack his honor, you begin to mention false. Why?
Because you're upset with him, perhaps you had some worldly disagreement and that leads you to
backbiting. The third thing is a dislike of an individual. So you’re not angry with him, but you
just don't like, you just don't like him. You just don’t like him, there's something about him that
you dislike. As a result of that, you start to valify his honor; you start to eat his flesh The fourth
thing: self-purification. How often is this case? You yourself are suffering with a problem so you
start mentioning this problem about somebody else. To make yourself feel better, you begin to
mention the faults of other people who are suffering with this illness or suffering with this Trial
and you yourself are going through it. So to try and purify yourself, make yourself feel good, you
mention this about other people. The fifth thing is to honor or elevate yourself by mentioning the
fault of others. How many people in the name of Islam, they sit there and all they do is they
abuse this one, they curse that one, they vilify that one. So to honor yourself, he's an ‘Alim at
cetera, you begin to abuse and vilify other people's honor. The sixth thing, jealousy and envy.
Out of jealousy and envy, you begin to eat your brother’s flesh; you begin to destroy his
reputation. Any problem that you see from him, you go and let the people know about it.
Anytime you're sitting with a group of people, what do you say? Did you hear about this one?
Such and such a thing happen. Did you hear about this? He’s involved in such and such an
action. Why? Because you are jealous of that person, you are jealous; you are envious of that
individual. And of course the final thing is mocking and joking. It's just mocking and joking.
Like the people, they were sat in a gathering; they began to mock and joke about The
Messengers ‫ﷺ‬. Oh you know about Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬and his companions They’re cowardly and they
eat a lot, etc. Mocking and joking. And of course if we mock and we joke about the dean of Allah,
this is kufr. This takes us outside of the fold of Islam. But when you are mocking and joking
about your brother or your sister, this has fallen into backbiting.
