PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION MANUAL
Wavin QuickStream
Siphonic Roof Drainage
Contents
QuickStream
1.1 Introduction
A specially designed roof outlet with an air baffle and anti vortex
vane only allows the intake of water and prevents the ingress of
air, so allowing full-bore flow to be achieved (see figures 1 & 2).
At full-bore flow, the difference in height between the roof outlets
and the rainwater discharge level is utilised to gain the energy
that will increase the flow velocity of the water in the pipework.

No pipe gradient required 250,000m2 roof area
The lines can be routed through apertures in the binder
without a gradient.
Shorter building time
The concreting work for the foundation slab is less
dependent on siphonic drainage, since very few downpipe
connections are required inside the industrial building.
Lower insulation costs
Smaller pipes also mean lower costs for insulation at the
same time.

is applied to the weld zones by means of a welding device (see

creates the necessary welding pressure. Wavin electrofusion

In the case of emergency drainage through a separate
piping system, verify that the piping system is routed to an
