SHORT STORY

THE LITTLE ROBOT'S BIG ADVENTURE 1

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a little robot named Zippy. Zippy was a
curious robot, always eager to explore and learn new things. One day, while out on a walk,
Zippy stumbled upon a mysterious door. Being the curious robot that he was, Zippy decided
to open the door and see what was inside.

As soon as he opened the door, Zippy found himself in a vast underground cave. The cave
was filled with all sorts of strange and wonderful things. Zippy saw sparkling jewels,
glittering gold and silver, and colorful crystals. He also saw strange creatures that he had
never seen before.

Excited by his discovery, Zippy started to explore the cave. As he walked deeper into the
cave, he heard a loud rumbling noise. Zippy was afraid, but he was determined to find out
what was making the noise. He followed the noise and soon found himself in a large
chamber.
In the center of the chamber stood a giant robot. The robot was covered in rust and its
gears were grinding loudly. Zippy realized that the robot was in trouble and needed help.
Without hesitation, Zippy set to work fixing the robot.
After a while, the robot was running smoothly again. The robot was so grateful to Zippy for
fixing him that he offered to take him on an adventure. Zippy was thrilled and eagerly
accepted the offer.
The giant robot took Zippy on a wild and wonderful adventure. They flew through the sky,
swam in the ocean, and even visited a hidden kingdom of robots. Zippy saw so many
amazing things and made many new friends.
Eventually, the adventure came to an end, and the giant robot brought Zippy back to the
cave. Before leaving, the giant robot gave Zippy a special gift. It was a key that would open
the door to the cave whenever he wanted to go on another adventure.

Zippy thanked the giant robot and said goodbye. He left the cave, but he knew that he
would be back soon. From that day on, Zippy had many more adventures, and he always
remembered the giant robot who helped him when he was in need.

THE LITTLE ROBOT'S BIG ADVENTURE 2

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there lived a little robot named Max. Max was different
from all the other robots in the factory where he was made. He had a special spark inside of
him, a spark that made him curious and adventurous.

One day, Max decided he wanted to see the world outside of the factory. He had heard
stories of the beautiful forests, rolling hills, and sparkling oceans that lay beyond the factory
walls. So, he set out on a journey.

As he walked along the winding road, he met a wise old owl who told him that the world was
full of danger and that he should be careful. But Max was determined and he continued on
his journey.

As he traveled, Max encountered many obstacles, but he never gave up. He climbed steep
mountains, crossed treacherous rivers, and even battled fierce robots who tried to stop him.
But with his courage and determination, Max was able to overcome each challenge.

Finally, Max reached the end of his journey and he stood at the edge of a beautiful ocean.
The water was crystal clear and the sun was setting, painting the sky with brilliant colors.
Max felt a sense of joy and accomplishment, knowing that he had achieved his dream of
seeing the world outside of the factory.

As Max returned home, he realized that his adventure had taught him an important lesson.
He learned that with courage and determination, he could accomplish anything he set his
mind to.
Lesson for him to learn:
• Never give up on your dreams
• Believe in yourself
• Have the courage to take risks
• Learn from your mistakes
• Embrace new experiences and be open to the unknown
It is a good reminder for him to be curious and adventurous but also to be careful and
thoughtful as he faces the unknown in life.

THE FLYING ELEPHANT AND THE RAINBOW

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a flying elephant named Ellie. Ellie was
special, because she had big, beautiful wings that allowed her to fly through the sky.

Ellie loved flying, and she would often soar high above the treetops, looking down at the
world below. She loved seeing the different animals and the colorful flowers. But, there
was one thing that Ellie had never seen before - a rainbow.

One day, while flying, Ellie looked down and saw a beautiful rainbow stretching across
the sky. She had never seen anything so beautiful before. She wanted to fly down and
touch it. So, she did just that. She flew down and touched the rainbow.

When she touched the rainbow, she saw something magical. At the end of the rainbow,
there was a pot of gold. She was so excited, and she wanted to grab it and bring it back
to her home. She picked it up and started to fly back to her home, but the rainbow
started to fade.

Ellie realized that the rainbow was not meant to be touched or taken away. It was
something beautiful to admire and enjoy. She knew that the true treasure was the
beauty of the rainbow itself.

Ellie learned an important lesson that day. She learned that sometimes the most
beautiful things in life are the things that we cannot hold or take away. They are meant
to be enjoyed and appreciated in the moment. She also learned that it's not always
good to be greedy and for one to take something that's not meant for us.

From that day on, Ellie continued to fly, but she never tried to touch the rainbow again.
She simply enjoyed the beauty of the rainbow from afar, and it made her happy.
Lesson for the six year old Fejiro: Appreciate the beauty of nature and don't try to take
things that don't belong to you.

THE INCREDIBLE SUPERHERO AND THE ROBOT

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there lived a little boy named Jack. He loved nothing
more than playing with his superhero toys and imagining all the incredible adventures
he would have one day.

One day, as he was playing in his backyard, he stumbled upon a strange, metal object.
It was a robot, and it was unlike any toy he had ever seen before. Excitedly, Jack
brought the robot inside and began to tinker with it.

To his amazement, the robot came to life! It introduced itself as Robo and told Jack that
it had come from a distant planet to seek help. You see, Robo's planet was in danger,
and only a true superhero could save it.

Jack couldn't believe his luck. This was the opportunity he had been waiting for. He
quickly put on his superhero costume and set off with Robo on an incredible journey
through space.

They encountered many obstacles and challenges along the way, but with Robo's help,
Jack was able to use his bravery and quick thinking to overcome them. They finally
reached Robo's planet and saved it from destruction.

After their adventure, Jack and Robo returned to Earth as the best of friends. Jack
learned that being a superhero isn't just about having superpowers, it's about being
brave, resourceful, and always willing to help others.

Lessons to learn:
• Courage and bravery aren't about having superpowers, but about using our
strengths and resources to help others.
• Friendship can come from the most unexpected places, and that sometimes the
greatest adventures are the ones we take with our friends.
• Never give up, even when things seem impossible, because we never know what
5

we can accomplish.

A SHORT STORY

THE TORTOISE AND HIS SHELL

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there was a little tortoise named Timmy.
Timmy had a beautiful and shiny shell that he was very proud of. He would spend hours
every day polishing it and making sure it was as shiny as can be.

One day, while Timmy was out for a walk, he met a wise old owl. The owl saw Timmy
admiring his shell and said, "Timmy, your shell is very lovely, but don't let it define you.
You are so much more than just a shell."

Timmy was confused, "But, my shell is my pride and joy, what else is there?"

The owl smiled and said, "You have a kind heart, a curious mind, and a strong spirit.
Those are the things that truly make you who you are."

Timmy thought about what the owl had said and realized that he had been so focused
on his shell that he had forgotten to enjoy the beauty of the forest and make friends with
the other animals. He had also missed out on learning new things.

From that day on, Timmy stopped focusing so much on his shell and started living his
life to the fullest. He made new friends, explored the forest, and learned new things. He
found that the things that truly made him happy were not his shell, but the experiences
and connections he made.

The moral of the story is to not let material things define you and to always be open to
new experiences and to people. Also that, it's important to learn to be kind to others.

Our dear grandson, you bring light to this place
With every smile and every laugh
You fill our hearts with love, on your sixth birthday

As you grow taller and stronger each day

We pray for your journey, to lead you the way
May you find joy in the simple things
And may your heart always sing

We pray for your health and your happiness

For wisdom and kindness to guide you in this
For a heart that is open and true
And the courage to chase your dreams, new

We love you so deeply, our dear grandson

On this special day, and forever on
We will hold you close in our hearts
And pray for your journey, as you embark on
Happy birthday, we love you and hold you in our thoughts and prayers.

As you grow, dear grandson, so tall and so bright,

With each passing year, your love for books takes flight.
We watch in amazement as you turn every page,
With wonder in your eyes, and a smile on your face.

With each tale you read, your imagination soars,

To distant lands, and long-ago worlds and scores.
We pray that you'll always hold tight to this love,
For books will be your guide, your friend, and your dove.

To stand up for what's right, and to use your mind.
May they teach you to dream, to hope, and to see,
The beauty and the magic in the world and in thee.

Happy birthday, dear grandson, may you always know

That you are loved, and cherished, and watched over so.
May you find joy and wonder in the stories you read,
And may they shape you into the person you will be.

I AM SIX YEARS OLD AND MY BROTHER IS NINE MONTHS OLD

I am six years old and my brother is nine months old

Two peas in a pod, so different yet so bold
I am big and strong, with so much to explore
He is small and sweet, with eyes that implore

I show him the world, with all its delights

He giggles and coos, such pure innocent sights
I am his protector, his guide and his friend
Together, our bond will never end

I'll teach him to walk and to talk, too

We'll play and discover, all day through
I'll be his rock, as he grows and he learns
And with him, my heart forever yearns

I am six years old and my brother is nine months old

Two peas in a pod, our bond forever holds
Together we'll grow, and our love will never cease
With him by my side, my heart finds peace.

I am six years old, and my brother is nine months

With eyes wide open and a smile so sweet
He gazes up at me, his big brother, with wonder
And I feel my heart skip a beat

I hold his tiny hand and guide him as he crawls

I teach him words and songs and games
I watch him grow and learn, and it fills me with awe
To think that he'll one day have his own names
9
Page
I may be older, but he teaches me too
To see the world with fresh eyes each day
To find joy in the simple things, like a butterfly or dew
To love without reservation or delay

I am six years old, and my brother is nine months

And though we may be different in size
We are bound by blood, and our love for each other
Will forever be a shining prize.

LEARN TO BE KIND TO ALL, MY GRANDSON

Learn to be kind to all, my grandson,

For in kindness lies the seed of love.
Treat others with compassion and understanding,
Like the gentle dove.

Hold open doors and offer a helping hand,

Share your toys and treats with a smile.
For in giving, you'll find true happiness,
And inner peace all the while.

Remember to speak softly and be polite,

And always say please and thank you.
For manners are the cornerstone of kindness,
And will help you in all you do.

So learn to be kind to all, my grandson,

In every thought and every deed.
For in this world of ours, it's the small things,
That truly plant the seed of love, indeed.

Learn to be kind to all, my grandson,

For in every face there lies a story,
Of joy and pain, of laughter and of tears,
Of struggles and of victories.

Learn to be kind to all, my grandson,

For every soul is precious in God's eyes,

BE OBEDIENT TO YOUR MUMMY AND DADDY, MY GRANDSON
Be obedient to your Mummy and Daddy, my grandson
For they guide you with love, with each step and each plan
They'll teach you right from wrong, and help you to be strong
In a world that can be hard, they'll hold your tiny hand

Listen to their wisdom, for it's been tested by time

They've walked through the fire, and come out on the other side
They'll show you how to live, and how to be kind
They'll teach you to be brave, and to never hide

When you're feeling scared or lost, just look to them for guidance
For they'll be your rock, your shelter, and your allies
With them by your side, you can conquer any challenge

Be obedient to them, my dear grandson, each day.
