What is Eczema

Eczema (ceg-zuh-MuH)is an inflammatory skin


condition that causes itchiness,dry skin,rashes,scaly
patches,blisters and skin infeetches.ltcy skin is the
most common symptom of eczema.There are seven
different types of eczema:atopic derMatitis,contact
dermatitis,dyshidrotic eczema,nummular
eczema,seborrheic dermatitis and stasis dermatitis.
What causes eczema to start ?
Eczema can start as one or more symptoms
appearing on the skin independently or
simultaneously.symptoms may include
itchiness,dryness,rashes,scaly patches,and
blisters on the skin.

population and makes skin red and itchy.Although
there is no cure.some patients experience periods of
remission that last several years.Although the most
common form of eczema generally appears before the
age of 5,eczema can affect people at any age.
When does eczema ends

Eczema typically develops in early childhood and in a


small number of cases spontaneously resolves on its
own.For everyone else, eczema is usually a lifelong skin
condition.While scientists have yet to find a cure,there
are treatments and ways to manage your eczema to
minimize flare-ups.
Why does people have eczema
Eczema is associated with the development of food and
environmental allergies,and it develops due to a defective
skin barrier.Eczema is often inherited,and infants with parents
who have allergies or asthma are at highest risk for
development.
How to stop eczema from happening

There are steps you can take that may prevent eczema flare-ups
and outbreaks,including:Moisturize your skin regularly or,when your
skin becomes dry.seal in moisture after a bath or shower by shower
with warm,not hot,water.
