As per the student council applications, these are the roles I would like to apply
for-
*Head girl
* Prefect
*Member of wellbeing committee
The BST community has played a major role in my growth regarding to my
leadership skills by giving me opportunities to be part of events or the school as a
whole, over the past 2 years. I truly believe I would be a suitable candidate for the
role of head girl as I can be extremely approachable, have great patience and be
committed to every task or responsibility I have been given. I can support others
due my helping attitude. I am also very respectful towards my peers and the staff
around the school whilst being immensely passionate about pursuing myself and
others to work towards their goals.
Furthermore, I believe I am capable of communicating to my peers to form a
collective voice to find a reliable solution to any problem and work in a group to
help in the wellbeing and growth of our school community. I portray myself as
being a confident person and I am willing to put myself forward to many
challenges and responsibilities.
As per the past 2 years I have had appropriate experience and roles that has formed
me to believe I would be ideal for the position of being the head girl:
 Prefect of BST 2021-2022 which has helped me understand the greater
number of responsibilities that will be held upon me this year for the role of
head girl, and given me an experience of being in the school community and
organizing the following-
 Bringing up idea and organizing the ‘senior soiree’ last academic
year. This helped me create a group of students who involved
themselves in the school community by helping me shape this whole
event to be entertaining and recognize the hardwork of many
individuals over the year. I worked with my peers and teachers,
specifically Ms Spence to place the menu and decorations for this
event.
 Initiating the swim team with Mr. Baldwin which brought me great
pride in improving the health of fellow BST students.
 Initiating the idea of the ‘school sleepover’ with other peers last
academic year.
 As a participant of The World Scholars cup that has helped me to raise my
voice and place my opinions to come with an appropriate solution for many
situations while minding the regulations of our school.
 Due to the great opportunity given by BST community, I was able to get
work experience at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Tashkent during June 2022
which taught me great resilience, patience, time management and working
with others as a team.
 I have volunteered in MUNs including the BST MUN, Chess Tournament at
BST and at chess club in BST.
 I have been involved in the school play last year where I got a role of dance,
it helped me learn how coordinate with others around me.
 I had the honor to achieve the ‘school spirit’ and more prominently, at the
end of the year receiving the ‘headteachers award’ for involving myself and
helping around the school.
 Thanks to the great opportunities given at BST I have involved myself in
basketball team, football team, volleyball team, swimming, and cross-
country event over the past year.

If I were to be the head girl, prefect-

 I would like to encourage my peers to involve themselves in events
like sports or fairs and help organize events like the BST MUN or the
Chess tournament, moreover, bring up charity and events in other
areas that would encourage participation.
 I would like to represent myself as a BST school ambassador whether
it’s in external or internal school events.
 I would like to bring back some events to celebrate the achievements
of peers like ‘the senior soiree’ which was held last year.
 I aspire to motivate my fellow peers towards the goals they want to
achieve putting out ideas to improve their paths to these goals.
 I also would like to create a safe space for students to talk about
mental wellbeing and growth of themselves.
I am aware this role comes with a lot of challenges which I am willing
to take on to improve the surrounding and wellbeing of our
community and I truly look forward to working with others.
Thank you,
Manmayee
