Critical Legal Thinking Case Study #1

Does Sterling have a testing facility that would test product before shipping them out?
Can NoBugs be at full blame since it’s a partnership? If NoBugs has helped that company
out for so long, do you really want to tarnish that partnership?
NoBugs breach the contract which already gives a huge advantage in litigation for
Sterling. The damages are from Nobug’s microchips which in fact lead to the explosions
in the consumers product.
So what I pulled out from this incident is that NoBug’s was a trusted partner that was one
of the only companies to meet your expectations but from an unfortunate occurrence they
made a mistake that costed around 20 million in damages and hurt Sterling’s reputation.
All I can say is that Sterling will win some money from the lawsuit because Nobug’s was
under contract which probably means that they have to own up for any mistakes. The
cons would be taking away your only company that can meet your expectations and
maybe hurt your reputation over the long run. The pros would be winning the money
back you lost from the damages and hopefully being learn from the failures and be more
careful as a company.
