Nowadays, internet is the most useful thing, and no one can imagen their
life without technologies and generally internet. The smartphones keep much
information about us. People trust their personal data to the producer, but we
have no idea, if the company protects the information of customers.
To date, in internet people can find much information about the person
without the knowledge of IT, but imagen what can do people, who has the
knowledge and named as «Hacker». Hackers are a kind of scammers who can
use your data against you, and sometimes governments use it as a weapon. In
this essay I will tell you about the most large-scale hacks.
North Korea is a country with own internet. They don’t have the same
internet, same news and TV shows as we. The shocking fact is that North
Korea has the more hackers, than other countries. North Korea choose the
best students from junior classes and send them to special secret school,
where children learn to hack. All in all, there is the biggest army of the best
hackers that named as «Lazarus». The north Korean hackers pose a huge
danger to the world and dozens of successful hacks are proof of that. They
can hack the system of every developed country.
In 2004 south Korean major general said in one of the press conferences,
that in north Korea hundred thousand of professional hackers are trained
annually in order to crush south Korea infrastructure and steal important
documents and secret information. In 2014 professor, who has left north
Korea confirm the words of major general. He told about the «bureau 121»,
that is special school for hackers. A whole army of hackers is being formed
from graduates of this school. At the time of publication of this interview, the
number of hackers in the army amounted to three thousand people. The
interview was published in BBC news and other popular news, but after it
was deleted by unknown reasons.
The first biggest proof of the north Koreans cyber-army was in 2014. In
2014 , a film was released in which according to the plot , the American
secret service tried to kill Kim Jong-un .Of course, the North Korean
authorities did not like this film and called it an act of terrorism and
threatened to backfire in case of refusal. No one of producers haven’t react,
after that the system of Sony pictures was hacked all private emails of
employees, information of their medical insurance, information of pay and
scripts for unfilmed films.
In 2015 hackers of «Lazarus» tried to hack the central bank of Hanoi and
take out more than one million dollar and send to Slovenia, but the bank has
noticed intrusion into the system and stopped by security staff.
 Hackers took into account all the mistakes and repeated the hacking
attempt already in 2016. This time they hacked the national bank of
Bangladesh. For the hack they used a link, which was sent to employees.
Some of employees used the link and downloaded the app. Over the app the
hackers could see all action in system. On 4 th February the reserve bank in
New York, where a correspondent account is opened from Bangladesh, has
received dozens of notifications about international transfers, the total
amount of transfers was one billion dollars to other banks. Security system
has detected a hack, but no one of employees has not react, because on 4 th
February was the national holiday.
At the moment, the number of hackers in the cyber army of North Korea is
seven thousand people. North Korea has a bad economy, because of large
amounts of sanctions and has no opportunity to develop. The easiest way was
to create a cyber army, which easily and quickly hit the country's gold and
foreign exchange reserves.

have more options how to protect their personal data and most of companies
use stronger protect than before.
