An incident has come to light at Graana Office at Gujranwala wherein a number of Ex-

employees complained of misbehavior and abuse of powers by their superiors.

In this regard an inquiry was opened by the HR Team at GRO, Lahore for fact finding and
thorough inquiry of the above referred incident.

The accused levelled the following allegations on their Line Manager:

a) Employees were asked to do his personal/domestic work
b) Received KPI cash reward/certificate on behalf of the employee(ies) but never given it to
the concern employee
c) Demanded cash from employee(ies) and client as loan but never paid off such loan(s)
d) It was communicated that after the deposit of down payment, quarterly payment plan will
be followed. However, developer insisted on a monthly installment plan which is in
violation of the terms and conditions agreed with the client therefore, developer is liable
to pay fine/penalty for mis commitment but no action has been taken till date
Keeping in view the above allegations, we have a word with the Ex-employees as well as with
the current employees to determine the veracity of the allegations:
Response of Ex Employees
The Ex-employees confirmed the allegations (a) & (b) but no response was given on allegations
(c) & (d) OR they are unaware of any such incident(s).
Response of Current employees
The current employees are of the opinion that the allegation (c) is incorrect. In fact, the cash
amount was given by the employees with their free will to financially help out one of their
colleagues namely Muhammad Ali Zaib who got a heart attack.
Conclusion
In the light of foregoing, we have received mixed feedback from the employees [as referred
above]. However, it is noticeable that the ex-employees and current employees [who are given a
warning or have been placed in a PIP program] supported the allegations of abuse of powers
from their superior whereas the all other employees have denied any such incident have ever
taken place or come to their knowledge [they have not experience any such demand or being
subjected to abuse of powers by their superiors]
Therefore, we are of the opinion that in general the allegations levelled against the line manager
are of no significance or there is any truth to these allegations. [employees levelling above
referred allegations might have done so out of frustration/desperation since they have already
been warned for their poor performance]
