ACS GOLD STUDIO 2.3.0.95 – Important information

Instructions for installation

To install the software correctly, it is necessary to be logged in as administrator on
the computer or you need to have administrator rights on the client’s machine.
Without those rights the installation cannot be executed and the software cannot be
licensed after installation.
If an ACS software version is already installed, it is recommended to carry out a
complete data backup incl. drivers prior to the installation, in order to export existent
parameters and to uninstall the existing ACS software version. The data can be
reimported after installation of the new ACS version.
Please consider that write permission for the Windows 'programs' folder is required
for the later user.
The configuration tool to set up the mp-LM connection is located in the Windows 'All
Programs' folder within the start menu.
If changes to the mp-TM drivers are carried out while activating the mp-TM cutting
function (to be set in the system settings of the ACS software) a restart of the
computer could become necessary.
The drivers were notably adjusted. Due to this it is recommended to remove the
drivers completely before reinstalling the software. The new ones can be selected
during the setup of the new version.
This ACS software version includes drivers for pulsar, mp-LM1, mp-LM3, mp-LM10,
CAM, (VEC) MVPS G3(x), MGS 40-TO, MGS 50, MGS 60, mp-PM A3, mp-PM Basic
and mp-EM Opt..
A previous driver version has to be used for the pulsar. Therefore please install ACS
Gold Studio V. 72, uninstall the version and keep the driver. After that the ACS Gold
Studio V. 95 can be installed.

Parameter database
The parameter database of ACS Gold Studio version 95 is not compatible with ACS
Professional 2.2.0.53. It is recommended to save existing parameters prior to the
software installation and reimport them again after completion of the set-up.
Projects from ACS Professional 2.2.0.53
Projects from ACS Professional 2.2.0.53 can be opened with ACS Gold Studio
version 95 but not vice versa (see below).
ATTENTION!
Projects that were once opened with ACS Gold Studio version 95 cannot be opened
with ACS Professional 2.2.0.53 anymore!

Support of two laser systems mp-LM 3 and mp-LM 10 was
added:
- New driver kit with option to install the laser device
automatically
- Revision of the configuration tool for the connection
setup
- New laser modes for the two new laser devices with
adjusted values
- The three different laser devices can be jointly controlled
by just one PC
Support of thermal transfer printer mp-TM SQUIX was added.
Support of inkjet printer p3b was added.

A QR code generator was integrated in the software.
Now it is possible to generate QR codes without an intermediate
step. Further information can be found in the separate manual.
A function was introduced that prints a fold line on the material
KCE-ECO.
The check mark 'stop each page' was removed by default and
can be set again if needed.
The filling of true type fonts using a vector device was improved.
Under certain circumstances it is possible that small spots are
not filled correctly. Please consider the correct width for the pen
/ tool / laser.
An optional vacuum cleaner will be turned off automatically now,
if it is attached. Only possible with the controller 680.
The name of the print job and the date are added to the
printable overview.

Rotation during import An error was removed that occurs while importing the rotation.

An error in the automatic key adjustment was removed. Under

Heading text certain circumstances the automatic key adjustment will not
work properly in combination with some materials and devices.

 Removed an error that engraved the frame twice when rotation
Engraving a frame
