culture for outsiders. As Turkey is a very popular tourist destination, visitors
should know a little bit about culture of Turkey. Here are some interesting facts
about Turkish culture:

1. Throwing water when family goes for a trip: Turks have a tradition
that if a person that you live with is going on a trip, you throw a glass of
water after the car. This is done for good luck.
2. Slippers for the guest: When you go to visit a family in Turkey, they will
offer you a fresh pair of slippers. You can remove your shoes outside home.
This way dirt does not come in the house
3. Honking when light turns green: In Turkey, you will often find people
start honking when light turns green. This shows the impatience in the
people at traffic lights.
