Maus I compared to “Often a Minute”

I think the theme of Maus I and “Often a minute” is perseverance and not giving up. In Maus we
are told about the mans experience in the holocaust. In “Often a Minute” we are told about the
narrator's fear of the holocaust but to not give up because the “jewish spring” is coming. I think
the text structure in often a minute is Description. I think the text structure for Maus is
investigation because the man has to find the old man to get the information and perswade
him to tell him about his experience in the holocaust. In often a minute we are told that jews
are being persecuted uselessly and in various places. In Maus it told us only of 1 area which is
where the old man was at the time and what happened to him and his family.
