Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. Hi everyone,I am Nurmutmainnah Saputri J, I am Nurul
Muhnisa, I am Khairil fikri subhan.We are from Dreimora group will review about the
opening ceremony of Porprov 2022 which was held in Sinjai.

 DISCUSSION

A. What Is Porprov?
Pekan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (abbreviated as Porprov Sulsel XVII/2022)
is a quadrennial multi-event sports party on a regional scale between villages/cities in
South Sulawesi Province. This edition will be organized by two districts, Sinjai and
Bulukumba on October 22-30, 2022.
B. Opening Ceremony Event Of 17th PorProv Sinjai-Bulukumba 2022

The opening ceremony was held at H. Andi Bintang Stadium, Bongki Village, North
Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, on Saturday night,
October 22, 2022. The opening ceremony started at 19.00 WITA marked by the singing
of porprov Sulsel XVII/2022 theme song " Kita Adalah Pemenang".
The sports occasion, which is held once in four years, was opened directly by the
Governor of South Sulawesi, H. Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.
Unmitigated, the opening is concocted magnificently and classy to witness. The
colorful decorative highlights on the opening night gave it a classy feel.
At the opening of Porprov, a series of activities were performed, ranging from the
devile contingent, the handover of the Porprov fire torch, the Gita Praja IPDN Drum Band
attraction, the colossal dance of 3 ethnicities, and was entertained by the Utopia Band
which is a well-known music group in Indonesia, as well as a number of local Sinjai
artists.
A team of 24 contingents attended and were warmly welcomed by spectators who
attended live at the Stadium. Regional Heads throughout South Sulawesi were also
present to witness the opening night of Porprov with the Forkopimda Sulsel, as well as a
number of officials within the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and Sinjai Regency
Government.
Even thousands of residents also crowded all sides of the stands at the H. Andi
Bintang Stadium, even the traffic flow on a number of roads was closed due to the large
number of who came directly to watch the opening night of Porprov.
 Porprov Sulsel XVII/2022 competes in 48 sports consisting of 34 official sports and
14 exhibition sports. In particular, 21 sports are held in Sinjai Regency, namely football,
futsal, karate, athletics, swimming, rowing, gymnastics, basketball, sepak takraw, cricket,
softball, judo, fighting, motor racing, rock climbing, fencing, bridge, gateball, boxing,
yongmoodo, and pétanque. Meanwhile, 13 sports held in Bulukumba Regency, namely
indoor volleyball, sand volleyball, badminton, table tennis, kempo, bicycle racing,
archery, billiards, court tennis, martial arts, taekwondo, shooting, and chess. There are 14
exhibition sports, namely dance, muaythai, esports, diving, kurash, weight lifting,
kabaddi, equestrian, handball, kickboxing, hockey, bodybuilding and fitness, modern
competitions, and rugby.

The implementation of porprov this time will be history because of its opening which
was first held in the evening. And the presentation is very magnificent and charming.
Hopefully, this Porprov can be a motivation for the entire younger generation to continue
to work and increase their potential in order to create quality human resources.
