WARNING
Hazard of contamination caused by a broken detector panel
If a collision causes the detector panel to break, CsI particles contaminated with Thallium may be
emitted to the environment.
In this case, follow the instructions given below:
• Put a dust mask on your face.
• Wear plastic gloves.
• Collect all dropped particles and put them, together with the detector, in a sealed package.
• Clean all surfaces that may be contaminated with the particles.
• Place the used dusters in the same sealed package.
• Clearly identify the package with the following sentence “WARNING: DAMAGED DETECTOR”.
• Send back the package containing the damaged detector, so that the supplier can take appropri-
ate actions to properly recycle the detector.
If you do not obey these instructions, there is a risk of death or serious injury.

NOTICE
To avoid condensation:
Do not open the inner plastic bag before the detector temperature has reached room temperature.
The acclimatization time takes at least 7 hours 30 minutes.
If you do not obey these instructions, there is a risk of property damage.

It is not allowed to dispose of the detector. The old or defective detector must be sent back to the
company.

• Be careful not to damage the protective earth conductors on the left side of the Bucky unit 3 digi-
tal while inserting the digital detector.

WARNING
