History Argumentative essay Kaiser Wilhelm II

World War I was one of the deadliest and most destructive wars in history.
While initially sparked by a single assassination. The war involved a huge number of
countries and had a range of tangled causes. One of the key figures associated with
this international conflict is Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. Who ruled his country
immediately prior to, and during the early stages of the war.
From the outset, it was clear that Wilhelm aimed to make Germany a powerful
force on the global stage. He championed German success in areas such as industrial
and naval development, and this led to a period known as the Second Reich. Wilhelm
frequently stirred tensions with neighboring countries, attempting to boost Germany’s
status by using military saber-rattling and attempting to reclaim old colonies or seize
new ones. It is this behaviours which has led some commentators to conclude that
Wilhelm was one of the main architects of the war.
It is easy to forget, however, that Wilhelm was not the only leader who played
a crucial role in pushing the world towards conflict. A range of other statesmen and
political figures deserve their share of the blame. In Austria-Hungary, for example,
the determination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand to expand his empire at the expense
of Serbia was an important factor. Meanwhile, Russia’s Tsar Nicholas II regularly
failed to intervene diplomatically and ensure peace, while the insistence of all coun-
tries to maintain a naval arms race, often at exorbitant cost, made war increasingly in-
evitable.
Therefore, while Kaiser Wilhelm II was certainly a key driving force in the
push towards war, he was far from being the sole individual responsible. Instead, this
tragedy can be attributed to a broad range of factors and forces, and there were many
people – in Germany and elsewhere – who were complicit. In conclusion, it can fairly
be argued that the Kaiser was a key player in the run-up to the outbreak of World
War I, but he did not stand alone and should not bear the full weight of blame for this
terrible conflict.
A lot of people would mention that Kaiser Wilhelm was the main reason for
this destructive war. Especially a ruler of Germany at the time. Nobody knew that
this would start a war that will never be repeated. The conflict Kaiser Wilhelm caused
to start world war 1 is just unimaginable. Not only citizens would confirm that he’s
the reason for the start if this dreadful war, but many historians would say so. There’s
no doubt that he wasn’t the reason.
