DUE DATE: Saturday, April 1, 2023 by 11:00 p.m.

DETAILS: You are working with your partner to interpret the instructions for Project 2. You will read the
P2 Instructions file (there are 3 pages), then answer questions on the P2 Planning Document to create a
clear outline for how you approach the two tasks in the P2 Instructions file.

The instructions are designed to model instructions you may receive from a future boss. It will require
you to read carefully and pull out pieces of information that will help you make decisions about how to
accomplish the requested tasks.

You may need to ask questions to clarify your understanding of the instructions – there will be space to
do that on the final page of this P2 Planning Document.

SUGGESTED PROCESS: You may of course approach this in whatever manner suits you, but it is
suggested that you read through the P2 Instructions file first to familiarize yourself with the tasks you’re
being asked to do for Project 2.

When both partners have read through the P2 instructions file (there are three pages, please read them
all), then look through the Planning Document for guided questions to begin your plan. In addition to
the guided exploration, there is space for you to indicate questions that still remain that you’d like your
professor to answer for you. Make sure you are clear when you ask the questions. Don’t just say, “I
don’t understand what I’m supposed to do.” A better question could be, “For the travel file, are we
supposed to actually make reservations for these activities or just look up what the cost would be if we
were to make reservations?” or “How many people are traveling? I’m unclear what you mean by ‘our’
and ‘we’.”

After you have read the instructions, flip to the next page for the P2 Planning Document. This document
is a fillable form. You can click where it says to click and start typing. The rows will expand to fit your
text.

The section that has yellow fill applies to the first email about truck sales. The section that has green fill
applies to the second email about travel plans.

When you have completed the Planning Document – save it with the following filename:
P2_PD_GROUP##.

SUBMISSION: You are going to submit ONE document for your group to the P2 Planning Document
folder. It must be the original Word file that is presented to you that you have then modified as a group.
You can save it and send it as an attachment in email to each other. Please do not convert it to a Google
Doc, it will mess up the formatting. Google Docs that are submitted will be marked as zero. Please
ensure that both team members names appear on the Planning Document.

FEEDBACK: Your professor will provide feedback for your planning document via a rubric in the FOL
submission folder as quickly as they are able. If you submit your work before the deadline, you will be
more likely to receive feedback before the P2 data files are released on Sunday, April 3.
