DID NOT (DIDN’T ) + V1

I didn’t meet my friends because I was on holiday. Tatilde olduğum için arkadaşlarımla buluşmadım.

The teacher didn’t tell us that we were was going to have an exam. Öğretmen bize sınav olacağımızı
söylemedi.

We didn’t go on holiday last summer. Geçen yaz tatile gitmedik.

I didn’t buy it because the skirt is so expensive. Etek çok pahalı olduğu için onu satın almadım.

I didn’t study English (İngilizce çalışmadım)

She didn’t play tennis (Tenis oynamadı)

We didn’t go to the cinema last day (Geçen gün sinemaya gitmedik)

WAS/WERE NOT + NOUN/ADJECTIVE (isim cümlesidir)

That person wasn’t me. O kişi, ben değildim.

She wasn’t at home yesterday. O, dün evde değildi.

COULD NOT (COULDN’T) + V1 (-ebilmek -ebilememek analamı katar cümleye)

I couldn’t swim when I was three.

We couldn’t understand the subject.

(WH…) + DID +SUBJECT(YOU,HE,…) + V1 ? ( soru cümleleri did yardımcı fiileyle bearaber özne ve
yalın halde fille beraber oluşturulur.Çeşitli soru edatları kullanılarak da soru kalıbı bozulmadan
aynen uygulanarak sorular oluşturulur.)

1) A:Did you visit Bodrum last week? Geçen ay Bodrum’u ziyaret ettin mi?

B: Yes, i did. /No, i didn’t .

2) A: Did she come to the conferance? O, konferansa geldi mi?

B: Yes, she did. She came to the conferance. / No, she didn’t. She didn’t come to the
conferance.

3) A: Did you pass the exam? Sınavı geçtin mi?

B: Yes, i did. /No, i didn’t

 4) A: Did Ahmet study at that school?

B: Yes,he did. /No, he didn’t.

5) A: What did you study at university?

B: I studied Political Science and International Relations.

6) A:Where did they go for their holiday?

B: They went to Kaş for thier holiday.
